i thought this one was interesting, about building a mall (and more) in Ethiopia (and other developing countries) with the idea to connect the community better to their environment (the main point of contemporary architecture) and more importantly, to achieve a connection to the building to nature, and to achieve this with better more economic means.

i've been watching TED talks tonight, and they are some sweet. shit.

"Don't Kill Your Language" and the landscape music app for Central Park, and Typeface creator talk, and a poetry one. you can pretty much find a great talk about any subject. me likie, lets discuss intelligently.

I don't like how they censored graham Hancock and Sir Rupert Sheldrake.

But they have some neat talks i guess. As long as it falls under "What they don't care that you know" category it'll stay up :rolleyes:

i don't believe they held those particular talkers to much scrutiny before signing them, i believe that they were just not in the interest of their particular organizations mission statement. they don't go for non-science stuff. it seems.

i've seen both of those actually.

There was this one retarded talk where this guy claims he debunked all psychedelic phenomenon but to me he just came off sounding like a :tard:

This guy has never heard of the double slit experiment and probably doesn't even know there is no evidence the brain creates consciousness.
A lot of scientists are starting to look in the direction of the brain being a receiver of consciousness like a radio or television set.
This guy is a massive cynical failure.

And his ignorance triggers my OCD and makes me want to slaughter him with the information that tells him he is full of shit.

These people have huge confirmation bias issues, perhaps i do to but its like they only can see evidence supporting their claim because it's all they are looking for..
I've looked in the direction he is looking and preaching and i found it sincerely to be a dead end. there IS more than meets the eye of the materialist know-it-all.
