Whose eyes are closed? Many people focus on the atrocities in the world, just watch the news every day. It is only with open eyes that we can experience the unconditional love that runs through this world. It is quite easy to feel bad for yourself and see the world as a dismal place, it is seeing past this veil that is more difficult.

Believing that the world is a horrible place is in fact the more closed minded view than what I am saying. But believe what you want, let yourself suffer and feel bad for yourself for all I care. But seriously, like I said...if you think psychedelics are about realizing what a bad place the world is then why even take them at all? You could turn on CNN any day and would come to the same (false) realization

I believe that there is a "Joy" of Consciousness. It is a very serious and solemn Joy. You can't feel that Joy if you're ignoring the immense and overwhelming suffering that goes on in the world and that is the world. The "cost" of being able to feel that Joy is not closing your eyes to the reality.

"Fun" is something that children have before they are able to realize what's going on around them.
