A goth picnic.Taking my date to the cemetary at midnight for a romantic candle light picnic. * 3

It was a nice evening and I was looking to spend as little as possible on the date. So I was thinking after enjoying a couple drinks listening to the live music at the tavern it would be nice to have a picnic. Owing to the fact that the parks close at dusk I thought it would be nice to have a bottle of wine with the sandwiches I had packed... at a remote cemetary where I knew we wouldn't be disturbed. As we pulled in she looked a little distressed and asked why we were at the cemetary. I explained I had the picnic all planned and a blanket we'd set up and one of the head stones would make a fine table for the candles and our plates. After we were all set up she got sort of freaked out and insisted on leaving immediatly. So I complied and packed up and took her home. Apparently it is not as romantic as I had originally thought it would be, dining on the graves. And I thought she was goth... She is a big fan of black metal so I thought it would be the srt of thing that she would get a fick out of. Her catholic upbringing mush have won out over her love of manson and dark metal. Oh well. Another night another try with another girl. I should at least get points for creativity. lol

lol well I tried, really made an effort to do something I thought she'd like. I'm what you'd describe as a preppy type, not a darkie or dark music lover at all, so we'de be an odd couple anyway. I figured she'd dig it given her dressing mainly in black and the kind of music she listenes to. Dining on the graves seemed like it would be darkly exciting, shows what I know... :shrug:

You should have just taken her to a really cool cemetary like an old forgotten private one thats been dug up by ground hogs with half sunken headstones and bones sticking out of the ground. And I'm not goth, but who can't enjoy that?

I dont see why it would be a red flag at all. She seemed like a wannabe death eater type. I legitimatly thought it would impress her. Not the dumbest thing I've ever done to try to impress a woman either. All of the outlandish things I've done over the years have been to try to impress women. Hot air baloon rides are always a winner. I was tryinging to go for something impressivly sinister for a woman who seemed sinister. It was really a benign sort of thing, just trying to make an extra effort.

In the past I have found that keeping a well planned night's (or day's) events a surprise can keep an certain anticipation in the air.

All in all I'm a pretty clean cut preppy type of guy. But I wanted to do somehting better for a type I wouldn't usually date, but was starting to form an emotional attachment to, and I outgothed a goth. I'm not overly concerned about ending things, we've only been dating for about a month so the emotional attachment is still pretty light. :shrug:
