need a license, license is suspended

my license is misplaced and i need another one to apply for jobs. My license was suspended cause i couldn't afford to pay the money they wanted not to suspend my license for a no insurance ticket. How would it look if i went into a DPS office to renew my license when license is suspended? maybe just go get an ID? ither way, im sure ill go and just BS them

Go get a picture ID. I doubt they will just blatantly give you a DL.

good luck with that. As soon as you go and try to get a license, they will look you up on the computer and tell you that your license is suspended.

You should be able to get just an ID no problem though for about 4-10$

jah, apparently its $25 to renew id or license and only 10$ to change the address.  Im just gonna change the address to one of my parents house, lol. Ill be saving 15$.  and ill change it back whenever i loose it again. Parents live nearby, so no biggie.  Also, have an expired license to use in the meantime, but that doesnt fly some places

when i was in rehab the nurse had tons of copies of a letter. it had a blank to fill in your name and date. it stated that i was in a treatment facility with no income. it was notarized but copied. anyways.

ive got a bunch at home now. i use them when friends, family, or myself need a new ID or DL. no charge with the letter.

the same letter comes in handy. got me out of a legal charge and several expenses at school.
