Plead guilty man. Don't drag it out. You'll lose your license for a year. Quicker you plead guilty, quicker that year will go by.
Feels like an eternity, but it'll pass. If you drag it out, and if you know you were in the wrong morally and failed all the tests, you aren't gonna get out of it.
I drove drunk literally ONCE, at college, got pulled over before I even got out of 3rd gear. Plead guilty still buzzed at court the next morning.
Drinking and driving isn't worth it. I'm so lucky I didn't run someone on campus over. I hate when I know someone's been drinking and they choose to drive. I literally did it once, and I'm scared to death to drive even after a sip of alcohol now.
I learned my lesson. Losing your license for a year SUCKS. But in my honest opinion, if they simply took more people's license, they'd quit the bullshit.
I live in a rural area. No taxis. You'll find out who your friends are once you lose your license.
I was literally cooped up in my parents house for a year. Contemplated bad things often, it's a very isolating feeling not being able to drive yourself around, but it'll pass.
Good luck man. Please think twice next time before you drink and drive. Thank whatever your higher above is for not letting you kill someone.
A year without a license may sound like shit, but life in prison would be far worse.
Also, you're gonna have to get SR22 (High risk/drunk driving offenders) insurance. It's decently expensive if you have a newer car.
Luckily I have a POS as old as I am, and only liability insurance. Mines 125 a month.
Again,good luck man. Stay safe.
