I've driven soo fucked up it was un-real. I've tripped of DXM so hard that, in the middle of driving, it felt like my legs disappears. Coked, tweaked, twacked, bombed, baked, blitzed... you name it. I've even taken a 5th Jose Cuervo and a pint of Everclear w/ tea, slit my wrists up til I was flingin blood across the floor when I moved my arms and took off drivin to a town 30 minutes away, jus' to go chill with my cousin. To make matters worse, it was over a girl.
Thankfully, I've stopped drinking. And looking back on it, I hate it. I can't really stand not remembering what I've done. That's why my drug of preference is methamphetamine. You might hear bullshit about how "it controls you," but that's from bitches who have no self control. If you want it, you have just as much decision making ability on it, as off it. But I'm gettin off track here...
Yes, I did drive like that, and I always found an excuse besides "drinking." It wasn't my "drinking" that made me get my DUI, it was the "driving." It wasn't my "drinking" that was making me take advantage of my girlfriend, it was "who I was with."
My point is this: You need to really think if it's giving you the experiences you have, or if maybe it's a little deeper.
Myself? I had an issue (not an addiction, just an issue) with drinking. And, now when I load my little man (1 yr. old) into his car-seat, or lay down to cuddle and take a nap with him, I realize the smartest thing I ever did was set the bottle down.
Just some food for thought.
