law enforcement

to those in law enforcement who frequent this site, either for investigative purposes or because they themselves are psychedelically or spiritually inclined, I say that despite all the anti-LE clamoring about, there are those among us who appreciate the necessity and reality of your presence, and DO understand that you are doing your job, or hiding a habit that could get you time. Hang in and remember to look at the individual, not the group, when it comes time to act.

When it comes time to "look at the individual" they will continue doing their jobs just as before and you will get fucked.

I don't sympathize with anyone enforcing unjust laws for an unjust country.

Doing their job means babysitting adults, thats retarded.
Crack dealing thugs are one thing, but cops dont mess with them, no they babysit personal use marijuana smokers. Get caught with weed by a babysitter, go to time out, thats fucking pathetic (for the babysitter)

Can you imagine studying (criminal justice) and doing nothing but babysitting weed users while children and women are raped, homes are burglarized, people are robbed, the babysitters could care less about thugs.
800,000 marijuana arrests per year.

The data obviously points to police being babysitters (OF ADULTS) and nothing more.

If you want a thrill and want to not be paranoid about cops, rape kids or women, the cops could care less.
If you want a high risk thrill that 80% of the time will result in arrest because cops are doing nothing but looking for weed smokers, then smoke weed.

Heres a prime example of the what babysitters do:
How does a cop serve a child molestation warrant?
Knock, knock, sir, I'm sorry to inform you but we have a warrant for your arrest for child molestation, please if you are ready we need to take you to jail if that is ok sir.

How does a GROUP of cops serve a personal use marijuana warrant?
BOOM, BOOM *kicks the fucking door in* *Aims high powered assault rifle at innocent marijuana smokers head*
"Get the fuck on the ground you motherfucker I'll kill you, I'll blow your fucking head off you son of a fucking goddamn bitch"
"I'll cut your fucking throat and initiate your gag reflex motherfucker"
"If you molested children I'd respect you motherfucker, but you smoke weed die you fuckface bitch"
"We found a gram of weed" *high fives other officers*
"kick that motherfuckers teeth in and take him to jail"

They may not say it, but child molestation warrants are not served by SRT even if the pedo is known to own firearms. All marijuana warrants are served as "high risk" "forced entry" and are carried out in a violent way even if it is confirmed that the suspect is unarmed!!!!

get a clue, or a brain cell.
Obviously you know jack shit about this subject or you are one of the violent lying babysitters.

go back to your fairytale where the cops protect you from all the evil in the world

think of it this way, if you were a cop and 2 phone calls came in you had to answer to one of them, which would you pick of the following...

a) a call from a woman crying how her husband was being attacked by a group of black people in a poor part of town
b) someone called because they saw their neighbor and his friends smoking weed and doing who knows else in their own back yard

doesn't take a fucking genius to figure out where you would rather go

now if drugs were legalized(whoa, consensual activities that have no victims being legal - what a cRaZy idea!) they would have no choice but to do their fucking jobs and like magic the general populace doesn't absolutely despise their antagonizing existance

get a fucking clue, chump

i've never once been hassled unreasonably by the cops.

their job is a necessary one, and its physically, mentally and emotionally difficult.

all in all i'm glad they're around, because there are alot of savages in this world.

BTW: anyone else think women cops are the funniest thing in the world? a male cop pretty much instantly intimidates me and there is no doubt in my mind about who is in control of the scenario physically... when a woman cop talks to me if feels like my mom or something... it makes me want to laugh.

Some people know how to fight and how to use a 1911 and an M4.

I wouldn't complain at all because then people would have actual freedom with their own bodies, without babysitters trying to send people to time out for personal use drugs.

You would not be missed, accept it, actually many many people that can stand on their own 2 feet would fucking celebrate life without babysitters.

It would be nice though if there was a world where cops just hunt criminals and don't don't focus on "free will" crimes.

Cops can be pricks but I can understand why.

It's fair to say some of them are decent people who are really out there to protect you and me, and some of them are lazy assholes with huge self-esteem issues who'd rather abuse drug-users than actually help anyone. They both follow the same set of rules when it comes down to it, albeit occasionally in different ways.

So you've got a little bit of the people that's fucked up, a little bit of the system that's fucked up, and when they come together you have the problem so many of us lament.

I guess I am just fortunate to live in an area where the cops aren't dicks. I speak at the Highschool about not using crack/coke,heroin and oxycontin and they cops are pretty cool about it. They even tell the kids they don't care about pot and they let me tell them that I am an avid smoker and I even suggested they smoke weed over drink or doing hard drugs. They are just concerned about people dying and they don't screw with anyone. They let me go with a box of needles and a bunch of empty heroin bags. They actually gave me the box of shit they collected and told me to throw it out when I got home. I ended up getting popped with a bundle of h that really wasn't mine. I was dopesick and didn't know it was in my car. Rather than just being a scratch on someones goal sheet one of the detectives pointed out that I wouldn't have been sick had I known they were there and I wouldn't have had anything left if they were mine so the arresting cop wouldn't drop it cuz he was a dick but the other cop talked to the sgt that was acting DA for the case and requested a suspended sentence instead because he believed me. With the 72 prior charges on my record and in a different state, one that is very tough on drugs, I could have gotten like 3-5yrs since I just did 5 so I am glad that they are not all like you guys make them out to be. My 2 yrs suspended for 2yrs is almost up or just got up so I am either free or almost free....I don't remember when I am off!

Well heres a common sense lesson for you, SIR.

I wouldn't be speaking out the way I do if I wasn't clean:grin:

There shouldn't be a law against marijuana when alcohol that is 10x more toxic is legal. It is their bodies to do with as they wish.

Anyway, I don't critisize REAL cops, I critisize babysitters.

Know the difference, cops protect society, cops hate and want to arrest rapists, burglars, armed robbers, car thieves, drunk drivers.

Babysitters want to arrest a guy with a stem and/or a seed on the floorboard in the car.

Babysitters are the ones that arrest people for personal use drugs then rationalize it by saying this will reduce crime. Arresting criminals reduces crime, duhh.

yeah, law enforcement need to get their priorities straight. i'm down for catching rapists and murderers, but fuck putting someone in jail just because they want to relax a little after a hard days work.

I only read a few replies to this thread so I am sorry if I missed anything important.
I agree with whoever related police work to babysitting. The only thing is that it's their job. Nothing more. They do not make the laws, they enforce them. If you are going to be hostile about the drug war, you are barking up the wrong tree.
Try writing a formal letter to you're senators and congressmen...that is if you know who they are.
Remove yourself from the dumb masses and use your brain.
Sure there are bad cops just as there are bad businessman and politicians.
Use you're voice, not your mouth.

OK, that response is great.

In all honesty, I don't have personal reason for my critisizim of drug related LE. I have been caught 3 times with weed, twice the cops told me to dump out the bags and grind the stuff into the asphault. The last time, I didn't stop so the cops tagged on everything they could which included an 1/8 I had, I don't hold any grudge for that.

I am not relating LE work to babysitting, only "personal use" drug enforcement. I guess DV, suicide and neighbor dispute calls can be considered babysitting, but I don't want to insult someone who works hard at that kind of job.
I am also not hostile towards LE.

i disagree i think his response was typical bullshit

the pigs make too much revenue busting weed smokers, theyre soft easy targets

pigs can use their discretion(fucking cunts think theyre gods when they do)when busting people

if these pigs here on these boards were serious they would refuse to bust weed smokers and go on strike and call in the police union like they do when one of their own gets busted for curruption but then they might have to face of with their peers and we a;; know that these kind of people have never had the guts to do that kind of thing their whole lives unless they are armed and can call backup

i've been a lawbreaker for about 7 years.

i've never once been hassled unreasonably by the cops.

their job is a necessary one, and its physically, mentally and emotionally difficult.

all in all i'm glad they're around, because there are alot of savages in this world.

Not going to read this whole thread, but I have been harassed for no good reason by cops. Travelling through the backassward state of MS at 6AM on a Saturday morning I was pulled over and searched for no good reason. The officer ran my out of state tags for NO reason other than that I was in a black sports car with dark tinted windows (I didn't tint them, bought the car used with the windows that way, but they are not 5% "limo" tint dark) with out of state tags doing the speed limit. He claims my tags "didn't come back" so he pulled me over to investigate. If he'd lied and said "we had a report of a stolen car fitting this description and your tags didn't come back" I might not have felt as violated, but he didn't even bother that part. Just "I ran your tags" (cuz I was bored) "and they didn't come back, so I pulled you over." Fuck that bullshit. On my way back through the same town a few days later they had a tractor trailer pulled over and were searching the contents. Assholes were looking for drug smugglers. I'm just glad I'd been too lazy to go get pot that week or I'd have had some with me, or would have already burnt some on the trip.

yeah i agree, cops can use their own discretion when dealing with these kinds of things. it's not like their superiors are standing over them watching who they write tickets to or arrest.

and yeah, by arresting people for simple drug charges most of them have to pay bail, which are ridiculous.

the laws aren't going to change either because too many people are just uninformed. until public opinion changes about taboo subjects, nothing is going to change.
