id say to just make sure the surface you print on is sterile and be sure not to touch the gills at all before printing.

Well, doing it outside would help significantly, as most contaminants come from indoors, but if you already brought it in, I'd just say be sterile, be well.

you can use a little peice of wire mesh to hold the cap up off the printing surface...

Let the spores fall for about 2 hours. The contaminatd spores should fall first. Then move cap and let the rest of the spores fall. That last print should be OK.
