Knowing, Unknowing * 2
    #19732749 -

If there's one thing knowable, it's that i am
The sense 'i am', the sense of being, is completely & utterly, totally, absolutely, Self-assured

No one can say what being is, but we all sense ourselves as being it, it's the most natural thing to all, unquestionable, the only certainty

So there is self-assurance, i know/i am, almost as if total conviction is ones very core nature, but also inseparable from that a total unknowing, as i may know that  i am, but i can't ever know objectively what that is, simply because of the irrefutable fact that i am it

The only thing i know of it is that it is, but i don't know what it is, as i don't know what 'is' is, other than It IS!!!

Knowing and unknowing, dancing

Very true.  The "I" knows that it is, because if it didn't then it wouldn't be.  However it doesn't know what "it" is, just that it is because it isn't.

Your post reminded me of the the limerick:
There was a young man that said though
It seems that I know that I know
But what I would like to see
Is the I that knows me
When I know that I know that I know.

Kinda a mindfuck.

I have been doing the self inquiry spiritual technique Ramana Maharshi style, also paying attention to Mooji (dunno if you familiar with him or not).

Now what has happened to me is this. My attention has shifted from being focused on thoughts to being focused on my being.

In some ways this is frightening because I feel as though I am losing my self. Where I at one time had a "self" (of sorts I guess) there is now just empty space. In a mind that was once filled with thoughts, there is now mostly just silence.

What do I do with myself now? who am I? I have lost myself. I used to want things, like a girlfrined or sex but now I feel like, who wants these things? Where is the guy who was here in this mind who wanted to have a girl so much and why did he even want such a thing? whoever he was, he is gone now, swallowed up by the eternity of I AM.

I feel lately pretty much same, I'm more focused that I am, rather than I am this and that. But nevertheless, to me at least, it seems like body will do it's thing - Thoughts appear, actions appear. But I really am not it, things just happen, body too just happens.

Don't know if it makes sense, may sound like another mumbo jumbo

I am knowing yet I'm supposed to know nothing...? Ive meditated for awhile now and I don't think I've ever not known something. Theres never been a moment when I did not subtly participate in a thought. I've never experienced JUST the knowing without the known. I don't really see how it's possible. there's always something there. attention has to land on something. as spiritual practices go, I think its easier to focus on What Is as it is rather than something intangible like "that which allows What Is."

Who or what exactly is the "I" that has never not known something?

Never a moment when you did not subtly participate in a thought? Oh, there is that  elusive "I" coming up again and you're letting him get away with it, aren't you?

Just keep turning your attention back to your being rather than allowing it to go outward in pursuit of thought, while at the same time expending as little effort as possible through the understanding that your natural state is one of pure being.

The ego is tough and takes time to subdue. Mine is still going even despite the fact that I experience so much emptiness and loss of who I was. Never the less, how can I deny the changes which have taken place? That means I must be on the right track. Ramana Maharshi says not to lose heart and not to lose faith in your sadhana (spiritual practice) but to persevere.

"withdrawl into yourself and look. And if you do not find yourself beautiful yet, act as does the creator of a statue that is to be made beautiful; he cuts away here, he smoothes there, he makes this line lighter, this other purer, until a lovely face has grown upon his work. So do you also... never cease chiseling your statue."
ancient Rome, Plotinus (A.D 205?-270)

"bare attention is the clear and single-minded awareness of what actually happens to us and in us, at the successive moments of perception. It is called "bare", because it attends just to the bare facts of a perception as presented... Attention or mindfulness is kept to a bare registering of the facts observed, without reacting to them by deed, speech or by mental comment which may be one of self-reference (like, dislike, etc.), judgement or reflection. If during the time, short or long, given to the practice of Bare Attention, any such comments arise in one's mind, they themselves are made objects of Bare Attention, and are neither repudiated nor pursued, but are dismissed, after a brief mental note has been made of them."

The essence of the development of Right Mindfulness is an increase in the intensity and quality of attention, and the essence of quality of attention is its bareness."

The not knowing is the part of knowing that scares me, I hate the unknown for anything. Chilling.

Knowing is a product of the mind, in the mind it is not what's sought, for it happens in the absence of thought.

what dance ?? how can you call such sharabia of lies .. a possible homogeneous conscious move as a dance

there is nothing called you are because you are .. you are yes, but only out of everything else .. otherwise it is obvious that your sense of being is through else being present too in everything reality and others individual bodies moves

it is an easy lie .. to pretend knowing how you are positively present source.. no one is, because only infinite exist .. so reality is always in plurality ways, free .. that is why truth is always a conception of superior rights known being a fact of infinite existence

and when you are positively, meaning out of everything true .. then you would be meaning something else while being active source of it in free dimension of being .. and not yelling I am I know that and you are what doesn't know because you are not .. how are you present by keeping repeating that and to others that you identify them as not present ??? why do you say that you are to what is not ?? how is that possible but of liars ??

evil is everything powers on us .. all rights are killed .. so worse beings enjoy standing on anything and claim being right instead from any figure of the right known by reversing it for possession sense in subjective means could be possible and the guy claim while standing on something, free existence .. but he would keep having to stand on things constantly and especially living others rights to just end as a sense from his insistent will to claim free existence

one day it would be clear how all your gods are evil consciously .. in a way or/and another

and the fact that you are what is truly being, is the reason that makes you able to realize yourself consciously anytime you want.. you spread lies all the ways in depth of everything right

that is why there is something called ego to mean what you are saying .. the superior sense of being while not being real .. the subjective sense of being superior without doing anything superior while hating any else superiority actually and never willing to recognize then that any can feel the same thing because superiority is the exclusive truth so existence is always out of being superior subjectively as a positive thing .. like satan would confirm it .. more then your jesus he would yell .. that he knows being existing superiorities senses

the truth is what only infinite exist, because infinite so plural reality ends in positive values is superior identity or fact

who would admit that ??? that he rather identify himself else then superiority to let superiority rights goes to infinity facts ??? obviously no one ! so ??? you got evil forever ... till infinity so the exclusive superiority decide to move inn for real reactions to your pretenses of being superior .. when infinity will act for its rights then all would be clearly present so existence realities would be true .. positive conscious freedom ends

"to meditate means to realize the imperturbability of one's original nature. Surely, meditation can never be a process of concentration, because the highest form of thinking is negation. Negation is a state in which there is neither the positive, nor its reaction as the negative. It is a state of complete emptiness."
