Constipation any suggestions?

#19601430 - 02/21/14 08:03 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

So basically 3 days worth of food has had no bowel movements to account for. My stomach cramps at night are getting extraordinarily uncomfortable and it is driving me insane. Should I just go to the doctor or are there any OTC or remedies available.

There is a tea you can buy that was recommended to me by a fellow shroomerite, it's basically called Laxative Tea iirc. It's in the herbal section at like walmart.

You can go to a drug store and ask for lactulose. They keep it behind the counter but that stuff works good. Take a couple teaspoons, then another one every 12 hrs after until it passes. It's basically like a giant sugar concentrate type syrup.

My mom used to sometimes give us corn syrup mixed with hot water when we were constipated too.

The best and most gentle herb I have found for pooping issues (and other digestive issues) is dandelion. If you are constipated dandelion will help that shit move on out, if you have got the shits it'll help dry them out. If there are any food co-ops or natural food stores where they sell organic produce near by they might have dandelion greens. If there are any places that sell herbal supplements near you you might be able to find dandelion root powder in capsules. Both work great, but in my experience the freshest are the best. Or you could gather your own if the season permits it.

If you don't care about gentle then you could use mineral oil, or epsom salts, or any number of OTC laxatives and they will flush your pipes out quite effectively.

Regardless of which route you decide to take be sure to be drinking plenty of water.

If you're going to go the Epsom salt route, make sure you are near a toilet within 15 minutes.

Its violent, but at the same time feels very cleansing.

Coffee

Hemp Protein (seems to work for me)

I had more I think but 3 days and youa re getting cramps and stuff?

I sometimes go a week or two without one.

Then again I know I have problems, it feels as if my prostate is sometimes so swollen when something passes through that area it makes it bleed.

Same with my pee hole, I've had penis trauma which has made a scar, and then it seems like the prostate pushes the hole closed at times making it very hard to pee. But one movement per week is kind of average I think for me.

What does exercising 'a lot' entail?

I'd say I do too. If I drink coffee I go at least once per day, but I don't like drinking it every day

Also, I get lots of fiber from lots of leafy greens... I eat minimal meat maybe that has something to do with it

I try to burn around 1k calories 4-5 days a week with usually 60 min of cardio and 45 minutes of weight training. I also take bike rides.

I love going to the gym. I would live there if I could.

Well I've been very lethargic for years, and I think this is part of that problem, it's not been as bad lately but the lethargy is coming back strong.

There's something really wrong, I can't even fart most of the time. Being blocked. Almost positive its the prostate.
