Travel Suggestions?

Hey everyone. Here's my situation... My friends and I have returned from a summer trip around the US (well mostly east coast) in our school bus that runs on veggie, and are now located in Texas for a bit. We are planning on getting out of here really soon though.

By out of here I mean out of Texas and out of the US. Our rough plans are to take off in a couple of months (2-4) and then head west in the bus. We are especially interested in Cali, Oregon, and Washington, perhaps even BC. But we are also really into exploring anything worth exploring.

We are trying to make plans so I thought it would be a good idea to ask around here. Here are some of our interests: camping, hiking, music, museums (learning in general), skiing/snowboarding, swimming, any real outdoors type stuff, community, groups of like minded people...

If you all could make some suggestions of places/cities to visit, things to see, events to check out...that would be awesome! We could even do a little where in the world and could send in photos of places we've been and thank you for your suggestions! (It wont be for a couple of months though).

Also, we are wanting to head out internationally as well. After we explore the west (or other cool places if you can suggest some), we want to fly to Europe and beyond to explore there. Our goal is to eventually find an excellent place to start building a community. We want small government, wilderness, warm climate...

ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE MOST EXCELLENT!!! Thanks guys!

I'd recommend getting to some shows, The Dead, SCI, WSP, various fests.....try to visit some National and State Parks as well. If you're going overseas....you must go to Amsterdam.

If you're going to head up the West Coast, you have alot of nice options for camping and hiking there. If in Cali, be sure to check out Yosemite National Park, especially Half Dome. In Oregon, Crater Lake is an amazing site to see also-you gotta see it to know what I'm talking about. Definitely try to make BC if you can help it too! Have fun and enjoy it, I'm envious. Did the same thing last summer out west...met new people, old friends, and made memories that will last a lifetime.
