Trichocerus grandiflora psychoactivity?

So I found a beautiful trich grandiflora at the garden center recently. I automatically buy any trich I see :cool: I know there are varying accounts on the psychoactivity of this plant, but can anyone say from experience that this species gets you high? Thanks

What I have read, no they don't contain any psychoactive substances

I am no expect but researched the same question a few years ago

I think a white flowered form was reported to be active based on human Bioassay.
I'm not sure if it has been proven though.
You most likely have the red/pink form.
I think the general consensus is that it's inactive.
The flowers are fucking amazing and it's definitely worth crossing with other cacti.

Yeah I mainly got it for how it looks but when it gets bigger I might have to see for myself what it will do. Could be interesting, mescaline or not.

Maybe traces of mescaline in plant but I doubt it.

I have not heard this species is anything worth more than nice ornament.:thumbup:
