February 21st (Friday) they are playing at Westbury music Theater. I very well may have to attend!

theyr'e diong two nights at the Lincoln here in DC, but i just recently headr that venue is like, seated.

Haha right on man. I still have to make sure my schedule is clear those days, which Friday nights usually are. Not planning on spending a shit load on great seats, but I'm pretty damn certain I'm going to go.

I hope so. He doesn't sing like he used to, but he still does a pretty good job. I think it'll be a great show, I'm hoping, anyway.

Soul? Are you serious? Bobby is fucking terrible when he's loaded. Can't play, can't sing.....can't even stand. Same goes for a lot of musicians.

As a musician I can see where you're coming from. Sometimes mistakes take things places they never would have been otherwise. Mistakes are a lot different than being way too fucked up and incoherent though. I don't think drugs actually make us play better, as much as they make us think we are playing better. I mean, I totally agree, I feel like the music I'm putting out, or taking in is far better in that state, but is it really?

Ya there is a difference between getting tossed and jammin in your garage with your buddies and charging upwards of 50-60 bucks a seat to watch you slobbering and too smashed to stand straight

It isn't about the drugs anyway, it's about the music. I may take drugs to enhance an already amazing experience, but I love it without the drugs anyway. I enjoy my drugs, but music always comes first, for me.
