Throw an electrical timer on that circut and you almost got yourself a fully automated terrarium.
Good post.

Very Cool! I am curious if you still need the perlite? hanky, you had replied to a post from mrMagik were he talked about a simular setup only without the perlite. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...rue#Post1914502
Do you still use a drip shield in your grow chamber? Thanxs and Good luck!

yes you still need the perlite....or use hydroton, the perlite provides the bulk of the humidity, the main reason to install a unit like this is for air exchange, usually you would fan out...this unit exchanges air without fanning and maintains high RH.with the benifit of introducing clean humid air...not just the air in the room being fanned in.

I question the effectiveness of a fish tank heater in that bottum pool of water with the bubbler.
The heater would:
A.) help maintain a controlled temperature when fanning is introduced.
B.) help evaporate water with the bubbler and thus produce a more controlled potential of how much humidity you would be letting into the terrarium when you fanned.
Kickass post hanky!

i use a heater pad under my terrariums/incubators....i leave a half inch gap between the pad the the rubber maids to reduce the risk of over heating/fire.....so i dont want to introduce any more heat at this stage. it sounds like a great idea thou and i'll throw something to gether which includes a heater soon.
