Yeah, many years of advanced process optimization, augmentation and intense mycological study we went from a box with a bunch of small holes to a box with just a few big holes.

It just needs holes in the bottom, and 4-5 inches of perlite and it'll be good to go.

The progression part was more of a generalized statement about cultivation. 16 years ago agar wasn't anywhere near as widely used as it is today, growing parameters that were generally accepted have changed, incubating jars while colonizing rather than room temp, ect. Anymore holes are even being phased out by a lot of growers :shrug:

I like your style lol I'm pretty much half out of it from taking my sleeping meds and staying up on here instead of actually going to sleep. I guess the real point should have been for the op to check the relevance of what he's reading

Having saturated perlite in a box with no airflow sounds like a disaster.

Man, buddy youre really all over the place huh.

Are you still going to fruit the green tray? In a SGFC with other trays? And following youtube teks?

My best advice to you is to toss anything that looks remotely green, if you're stubborn and have to play with it and see what your chances are like half of us are in the beginning then do it outside or don't do it.

I suggest reading up in the getting started forum or clicking around and finding bodhisatta or many other members who have links all up in their description to write ups that people spend a lot of time making them easy and clear.

For all thing mushroom cultivation related, stop watching Willy myco and other YouTube or Reddit bs, it wastes your time and tbh it's hard to help you.

:shrug:

Find a Tek and follow it like a recipe and if u have problems people can and will help you.

SGFC uses holes in all six sides to have natural air currents in the room bring warmer air up through the bottom, thru the moisture perlite becoming humidified and back out the sides me top taking a little of the heavy CO2 out with it.

Pick a Tek and stick to it. Go read.
