Air Exchange - PICS -

What I did was cut a small round hole in the lid of my fruiting chamber... attached a computer fan, I tried it without any type of filtration over it and it blows alot of air, obviously I must filter what Im pushing in so I took a filter mask and taped it over the outside of the fan so all the air it pulls in is filtered through it.... although the air flow is now less over the day it will be enoughh to assist with fresh air, Does anyone recommend against this or is this perfectly fine?

I was also thinking of doing a exaust fan that pulls stale air out....

The fan is like 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches and is 12 volts
it came from a external cd drive case. It pushes alot of air

I think One more would do great. I tried using a filter disc and it restricted air flow too much... that is why Im using the mask.

is this ok..

For Humidity maybe you can place some perlite below fan & have two tubes push it to each side of the bin. Or Forget About tubes- Poke holes all around sied of perlite bin.

It depends on how you're humidifying. With passive humidification you're going to do more harm than good by leaving a fan on all the time. Humidity will drop too low. A better idea would be to put the fan(s) on a timer. So you have maybe a 5-10 min air exchange every couple hours.

How do you power the fans? A computer power supply? Batteries?
