    #1892318 - 09/07/03 09:59 PM (20 years, 6 months ago)

Does anyone have any opinions on the coarse verm? Ive used the fine verm before with good success but im still waiting for my cakes made with the coarse verm to show growth. Im just impatient, I know :-). any opinions?

Actually, it depends on how coarse it really is. I have vermiculite that is about a cubic inch in size. I think vermiculite this big is even too big for a casing layer, I would never use it in a PF tek style grow. It should still work, although I don't think it would mix up very well.

I try to stick to vermiculite about the size of a pea. Too fine (dust grade) seems like it just doesn't hold enough water and air pockets.
