Thats not an unreasonable desire necessarily.  Id prefer the animals i eat be killed humanely, if not Plenty of human suffering in the world, which comes first imo.  Also there is evidence that animals that get treated better taste better.  Like Japanese Kobe beef, they even massage the animals.

you are confusing a "moral high horse" with an actual high horse that vegans are actually on.  personally i do indulge in meat from time to time but i understand that i am in a higher, purer state when i don't.  it's a very purifying practice. and the thing is, the only thing a vegan can really appeal to is your intuition, since in many ways it's just the energetic component of not eating food that was directly made through violence.

When people say "You can't make a difference" they are completely wrong. Ive gotten two others into the whole "vegan" thing and that makes a huge difference. It's hundreds, or probably even thousands of dollars a year that we aren't giving to the machine for support. And bottom line, thats a difference. Of course it's not flipping the script immediately. It was without doubt the healthiest choice I have ever made. Both mentally and physically. The cool thing is, the only people who knock it are the ones who haven't tried it. I know many people who have givin it a try out of respect for me and at the very least they gained a new understanding for Vegans and wind up wishing they had enough will power to follow through with it.

Life is chuck full of choices. Why not try making another good one and see where it takes you ? afraid ? afraid of criticism ? to badass or cool ? got something to prove ?

Worst comes to worst... there's probably a mcdonalds close by that you could go to, drop 5$ and get a whopper. Maybe some diarrhea  and colon cancer to if you eat enough of them lol

Oh and one more thing. Going vegan tends to open up all sorts of new doors. Women and food being my two favorites. Ive never met a vegan women that didn't plague my mind for the following week after meeting them. I would never date a non vegetarian girl these days. My gal's gotta have some substance. Oh and the food. changing your diet completely rocks. You tend to get into different ethnic foods. Yum.
