the laws are getting more strict, as to my understanding, and now they are only allowed to be sold fresh, and same as with cannabis the laws are different in different towns i think. but you shouldnt have a hell of a lot of trouble getting them, i wouldn't think...

The laws aren't different in different towns! We have a national law and every town has the same laws.

Mushrooms, Salvia, San Pedro, Peyote, HBW and Ayahuasca can be bought in a SmartShop

Cannabis products can be bought in CoffeeShops.

BTW: for ignorant americans: Amsterdam is the capital of Holland and Holland = The Netherlands...  :tongue: :wink:

no they are not legal in Holland, neither is weed.. Holland drugs fall under "soft drugs" and "Hard Drugs" after the opium act, mushrooms and cannabis fall under the soft drugs as well as other drugs, salvia, San pedro, ect. And soft drugs are tolerant, so you can find mushrooms in "smart shops" though holland. But BY LAW they are still illegal, you just won't get in any trouble for buying fresh shrooms.

The Opiumlaw states that shroom and other concentrated substances that contain Psilocine and/or Psilocybine are hard drugs there for they are NOT legal in Holland. But the growing of shrooms is not illegal as long as they are not intended for consumption or selling/preparation for consumption purposes.

so they are legal as long as you're not planning to consume them. :wink:

Even if you got caught in holland consuming mushies, you would not get in trouble, And as long as they are fresh, Every smartshop as to have information on every product they sale, explaining the high, as well as safty guide-lines or after-effects, consumtion methods, ect so they know you going to eat them.

well it depends, in a'dam it would cost alot, but in the non-cites it could be cheaper, but i really don't know..

And I heard Holland has a high-rate of unemployment, but im not 100% sure.

There are quite a few smartshops that still sell dried shrooms in Holland.

Good quality White Widow weed costs around 6 euro per gram. Can get it cheaper if you know the right places.

E is also cheaper and has a better average quality than in America.

I also believe we don't have as much and strong over the counter drugs as you have. You also won't easily get a prescription for prozac or ritalin etc. But you can order over the net.

Don't know much about the other drugs here because I haven't used them yet.

Even if you get caught using hard drugs in Holland you will easily get away without a jail sentence. Smoking a joint in public is also accepted as long as it's outside the busy streets.

In a few cities there's also a program running in which they supply addicts with clean herione so they can try and live 'normally' (of the streets) again. And to prevent them stealing for drugs.


Cheap rooms are quite scarce Amsterdam. In the other cities like Rotterdam, Utrecht and Den Haag (The Hague) the situation is a bit better.
Students can get a room for a reasonable price, but don't expect it to be in the centre of the city.
I believe the taxes in Holland are also quite high in comparison to America.

have you guys ever been to amsterdam? i went in january and u can consume the fucking shrooms right in the store.so if it was illegal i think they would tell you that it was. and hell you can get shroom tea in some places. i went up to the counter in the first hash bar that i went to and asked for a coke and he asked me how much i wanted.and i said i want a coke to drink.plus there is like 400 hash bars in the town which is fucking sweet.and a 25 bag cost like 12 euro and its the best weed i ever smoked. x was like 10 euro a pill. but that is illegal. i think amsterdam police concentrates more on traffic and pick pockets more than anything. as far as employment is concerned i don't think it would be hard to find a job because it doesn't have big corporations like we do. they have thousands of little shops.:)

Yeah you usually won't get busted for drug use, any drug use. Unless you are an annoyance to your surroundings.
E is 6 euro (~$6) for a pill now, when did you go?

We don't have a big unemployment problem.

I bet you Americans will have a problem with our supermarkets though. We have nowhere near as much choice as you do. But our cheese rocks, way better than your cheese  :tongue:

oh and one more thing amsterdam is the most beautiful city that i have ever been too. and the cleanest too. god i miss it and i was only there for a week.ummmmmmmmmmm white widow at the doors hash bar. and then walk the corner to find a nice baker with strawberry pies and little chocalate goodies.ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm amsterdam im coming back. then on to the red light district to get a free nuedy show just walking down the street. avoid getting a cab take the tram or train. cabs are more expensive than prostiutes there i think. i think amsterdam and london are the most expensive in the world.

Our cabs are ridiculous yeah. I remember that a drive from our airport to my city cost as much as a two hour limo ride in new york.
I don't know about cleanlines. In many cities people let there dogs shit on the pavement. Pooper-scoopers are pretty much unknown here. Luckily the situation is changing slowly.

i went at the first of the year when the rates where low and the tempature was too. god it was cold!!!!!!!!!! i didn't buy any x people offered but i have done it back home several times.and im not really into it. acid,shrooms,weed,hash are my favorites. oooooooooo i love the space cakes too.
