Yeah the spacecakes rock. I've gone as high as 4 spacemuffins at once. Man was I stoned. Even the next morning I felt like I just smoked a joint :smile:

In Holland we have 2 opium acts. The first is for Hard Drugs and the second for Soft Drugs. Only cannabis products fall under Soft Drugs(list 2). Buying, selling, possessing and growing of Soft and Hard drugs is illegal.  Using Hard and Soft drugs is legal, even for minors! Using drugs isn't illegal so that people don't need to be scared to search for help(heroin, crack, cocaine addicts).

The dutch government tolerates small production(5plants pp), possession(5g) and selling(only coffeeshops/max 5g pp) of Soft Drugs(Cannabis products). Tolerating is "legal" but i'm not able to explain that part of the dutch law in English.

Smart Drugs/Eco Drugs  (Mushrooms, Salvia, LSA seeds, San Pedro, Peyote and Ayahuasca)  are totally legal! Psilocybin falls under the first opium act but judges in Holland say that natural plants containing Psilocybin aren't illegal because blablabla  :cool:. They interpret the law in a good manner :grin:. But sometimes a judge has some american blood in his veins and says that it is illegal to grow enormous amounts of mushrooms :frown: It's all about how judges interpret the dutch law. But nearly nobody is accusing mushroom growers/sellers etc so that's nice.

Using any drug is legal yes. But possession of harddrugs is illegal.
The maximum penalty for possession of small amounts of harddrugs is 1 year in prison and a fine of 11.250 euro
The cops don't look for small amounts of drugs and if you get caught with a small amount (less than 0,5g) you won't get prosecuted. The drugs will be taken by the police though.

The cops also can't search you unless they have a special permission. It's also illegal for a cop to sell you drugs and then arrest you. Don't know the exact term for that.

But be warned. Recent news reports that the American DEA is also becoming active in Holland. The DEA can arrest you using american law and America also forces Holland to extradite the criminals they want. So don't buy or sell to American people in Holland unless you trust them.
Recently a dutch DJ was extradited to the USA for XTC charges

If you carry more than 0,5g of harddrugs you are classified as having intent to sell. Maximum penaly is 4 years and or 45.000 euro fine. Remember these are maximum penalties which are almost never given unless they want to make an example out of somebody..

They have the means to do it now in Holland. It could happen. But it hasn't happened yet. They haven't busted any users yet.
But that XTC guy was accused of smuggling XTC, and was busted by the DEA in Holland. Later he was extradited to America on shady charges at best. There are a few more cases like this.
So if the DEA decides to get crazy enough, and the now 'conservative' Holland government keeps extraditing them, they could arrest users, yes.
But you don't have to wory about that, just yet.
I just read that, that XTC guy has been allowed to do his sentence in Holland now.

thanks for making that clear.. but i have a couple questions..

so Psilocybin is illegal by the books, right? And i thought a while back smartshops sold dried shrooms, but now they can't anymore. So they sell fresh mushrooms, why doesn't most shops sell dried mushrooms id they are totally legal? Or do mean while they are fresh..
And if you had an DMT extraction or an extraction of Psilocybin/Mescaline ect. would that be illegal?

And is there any limit to how much shrooms/catus u can buy in one shop like there is on cannabis?

oh yeh, I really like the way the netherlands does things, i wouldn't like the high taxes, but i guess living in a great friendly-open-minded country like that, would be worth it.

They are really not looking for DMT or Psilocybin/Mescaline, most people don't even know what it is. But technically it would be illegal yes. But that chances you will get caught are very slim. And the penalty would probably be light, unless someone died of it or something.

It's too bad that Holland is currently more heading in the American way, than vice versa. But hopefully the Dutch will notice that in time

its not legal for america to busts a holland man for doing drugs or arrest someone for having drugs. the reason america is getting involved is because all the x factorys are in holland and its where the majority of our x comes from so thats why america is getting involved. don't worry as soon as that fucker bush gets out of office most of this stuff will stop.

And since were talking about holland n all, i heard there was a smoking ban going through, where u may not be able to smoke in coffee shops unless they add a 'smoke room'.

When I lived in Germany I would go to Holland every two weeks and buy shrooms and occassionally weed. I never had any problems getting large amounts of either any time I wanted to. One time I had 250 gms of weed and 400 gms of shrooms. That was several years ago. Have they changed the laws since then.

i guess, but they sell coffee too... but i read that its for the public and the workers safety, but haven't got it clear it if it's for tobacco or both.

You are right, there is going to be a ban on smoking in coffeeshops (hashbars). But it's because of a side-effect of a sigarette smoking ban in public areas. So it wasn't targeted at the smoking of weed in particular.
If they don't make an exception for coffeeshops, the ban will start in 2004. We also have some crazy laws :smile:

yeh i don't think thats a good idea, for tourism anyway, because the locals could buy the stuff and take it to their homes and smoke..but tourist, well it would mean more people smoking out in public.

Yeah but Coffeeshops have already found ways around the law if it goes through. Some shops will put vaporizers on the tables. That's healthy too.
Other shops will make one room for buying and another for smoking.
