water in popcorn jars

my friends popcorn jars have a lil bit of water at the bottom. should he be worried? its not excessive at all. :mushroom2:

well that could very cause some hardcore bacterial contams. did yer friend just sterilize their jars or has this water been there for a while?

he just sterilized them he has yet to inject. the water is not excessive but he was worried that it wouldnt work or contams would happen

You could bake it out by putting it in an oven at about 250'F till it's dry enough. I'd be afraid of melting the filter if you went any hotter than 250.

Placing a 1/4 inch layer of dry verm into the jar before you load it with popcorn will prevent the condensation.

I would do that and then re-PC the jars if it's excessive. If it's not and you have tyvek or other large area filter disc then I wouldn't worry too much about it as it will evaporate through a breathable barrier.
