Found in garden full of woodchips

Hervey Bay - Queensland - Australia - Sub Tropic.

Found this big mushroom while in town, it is pissing down rain. Anyone know what this might be ? It is the biggest mushroom I have personally seen. Also on my way home on the main road I seen a patch of Mushrooms sitting in the grass, when the kids get home I am going to go try and take a pic and get a specimen. I will add it to this post :smile:

Agaricus, what colors does it stain?  What does it smell like?  If you have KOH, test the staining reactions with that too.

The Agaricus smells like mushrooms you would buy from the store. I do not know what a KOH is. It did not change color when pinched if that is what you mean by stained.

do not eat that mushroom.


I would not dream of eating any mushroom I find unless it is a psilocybe cubensis. And only after a complete ID.
