numbers
    #1785898 - 08/06/03 07:17 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

Numbers to me have recently taken on a new meaning. Rather then anoying things I had to spend alot of time looking at in school, they have come to represent something greater, perhaps even the unknown. They represent the infinite, the circle of life, and I sometimes think in numbers lie some unknown key to a big secret. Conspiracy theory? well yes... Numbers are manmade, and this makes me wonder sometimes... So I ask, whats your view on all this.

sorry this may have bored u

Do you mean, numbers as we have the system is manmade? Or, what exactly?

There was a thread about this a while back, don't remember what they determined, though.

Numbers represent the simplest (and evilest) of patterns. I thought you were giving up patterns for good?

I was trying to ask the question that this thread addressed, but I think that reading the thread will make sense more than me trying to explain it

heh the past couple nights on "Coast to Coast" radio show they've had a couple guests who did all sorts of work with numbers and their relationship to every event that occurs in the universe

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

Repetitions are the simplest patterns. But numbers can represent more than that.

My personal definition of infinity:  "Infinity is the anti-number. Infinity is not quantification but rather a perspective of relativity which is as large as it is small ? as much, as it is nothing.  Zero is as infinite as it is nonexistent."

I also have a larger infinity theorum.. It's basically a mind blower that leaves you realizing that the difference between a conceptual nothing (0) and everything (1) is only one whole number apart and that if 1/1 = everything and by most people's definition infinity = everything, then 2 is double infinity --- or merely, a repition of a single unit in a more complex form -- the pattern of all life.
