Psilocybe Allenii info

I was seeing alot of giveaways for prints of the species, so i looked into them. There's very little info on this site so i consulted wiki.

So i now believe them to be very similar to Psy Cyan and Psy Azure.
Would then, the same cultivation techniques be used? aka agar to grain to indoor wood mulch beds to spawning outdoor beds in spring?

anything notably different about them? potency?

This species is NOT simililar to Psy cyan or Psy Asure... it is a cube.

You've cited a strain that is sold by many vendors as "The Allen Strain" or P. Allen. The description on wikipedia is, well...whatever- A friend grew these out, and well, it just confirms that a cube is a cube...at least from her experience.

Do a search on the strain excluding the "ii" at the end of the name and you might have some luck in getting more & better info.

^ this is completely wrong. Psilocybe Allenii is what used to be referred to as Psilocybe Cyanofriscosa. It is a woodlover similar to Psilocybe Cyanescens.

The op is correct. P. Allenii its own species independent of cubes. The species was formerly named P. Cyanofriscoa; but due to slight differences discovered by Allen it has since been renamed.

OP: yup! Grow them like you would any other wood lover. I actually plan to start some beds this spring. Good luck!

Not quite true. It was never formally named until a couple months ago. It was referred to as Cyanofriscosa by hippies who would pick them in San Francisco because they resemble Psilocybe Cyanescens. John Allen got it officially named earlier this year.

What slight differences are you talking about? Differences from what?
