Alcohol +Lexapro??

I've just been prescribed Lexapro. I enjoy being drunk, yet i've read mixed things about this combo on the internet. Can anyone tell how it alters the experience if at all?

I used to drink on Zoloft (another SSRI) and it didn't have any side-effects.
Then again, it never had any effects period.
Other than making me not be able to ejaculate.

I was saying the alcohol didn't have any side-effects plus it never had any effect on my depression at all.
SSRI's have been shown in some studies to be almost identical to Placebo in terms of effectiveness.
If you really need them, it's worth a shot I guess. But they cause some BAD side-effects in a lot of people.
Just a warning.
Wellbutrin on the other hand did kind of work for me and seems to work better for other people.

Im on the same thing as lexapro, and I have a few beers and a couple of shots in me, and I dont experience any side effects.

i asked my doctor the other day and he is retarded, instead of giving me a reasonable answer he just said im inclined to tell you not to drink on any medication.

my girlfriend gets drunk sometimes on lexapro, n ive done it in the past.

im on remeron and cymbalta now... i wanna get off of them asap though,, u cant drink on them!

i didnt feel anything from the medication. it didn't help me out in other words..

my max dose was 20

im on remeron as well and I used to drink on it all the time.  I take it right before bed for sleep.  When I would come home plastered and take it, it would just make the drunk more intense, thats about it.

cymbalta and alchohol is the main mix im not sure i like.

multiple sources state its VERY harmful to your liver.
