Questions on.... (maybe) Albino GT Accident
    #17508523 -

Did not know where to put this post.  Have no issue on it being moved but it seemed the right place to post.

Cultivated the GT strain had plenty of goldencaps. This time in a neglected contamination project I noticed there was growing white* capped GT.

(Grown on WBS only from spore print. Plenty of pink and green molds growing from improperly prepared WBS.)

Still fairly new at this.

My question is would a high rate of contamination cause the genetic changes possible to force the production of a lighter colored cap.

Also, If that is possible, would it be worth it to isolate it from the molds and breed out any toxin?

*(more really really light tan almost cream)(pics will come no camera at the moment.)

It's just genetics and has nothing to do with a contam.

You could clone and isolate if you wish.

Mushrooms do not absorb contams from the substrate, so if the sub is contammed, the fruits should still be edible.

That does help and its cold right now so I'm not worried about it growing to fast but I may clone it and see what I can come up with. Thank you.
