man, got my girlfriend pregnant....

Whats up guys? I havent posted here in a looong time, but I figured since I cant really talk to anybody about this yet, id take it to the superb advice of internet druggies. So like the title says, my girlfeiend and I found out yesterday that shes pregnant. She has a 2 1/2 year old right now from a previous marriage which technically is still intact. We have been living together for about 6 months but weve known each other our whole lives. Like I said, her divorce isnt finalized but they have been separated for 7 or 8 months.

Basically I fucked up. I dunno what to do? On the one hand im 23 and I dont want a baby, but on the other I dont know if I could, in good conscious, make the decision to abort the baby. Its ultimately her choice in the end so I guess either way I dont have much of a choice. I mean I basically agreed to be a step dad when I moved in here but a brand new baby and the 2 year old might be too much for my girlfriend to handle considering I work M-F from 7 to 5 then weekends bartending.

Fuckkkk. If she wants to keep it then I will do what needs to be done to be as good of a  father as I can be...

Any of you have kids? If so how old were you when your child was born??

My daughter was born when I was 19, it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I am thankful everyday.
No need to stress or worry about it, it will all work out really well.

I was 22 and my 9 yr old is sittin here right beside me watching tv ... Life is beautiful bro give he/she a chance. Believe it or not that thing between your legs is used for procreation.

All the hugs, tears,  to listen to her laugh.... to watch her snuff at me spending over 600 buck for Christmas. Shits priceless my friend and youll feel it as soon as you see that baby....congrats!

jk, but seriously . . . I dated a girl with 2 kids for 3 years. They were six months and 3 when we got together. Kids can be really rewarding sometimes. There is no unconditional love that is comparable to a child's love

I met my wife and shacked up when I was 22.  She had 4 kids by a previous marriage and we made it work.  You can make it work too.  You just have to man up and be an adult.  You will love the child and the step EQUALLY and it will work out.  Love is like that - it always tries to find a way.  Respect your wife, be a role model for your kids and it will bring you happiness in many different forms.

Don't listen to the immature degenerates who can't manage their own lives, much less a youngster's life.  You can do this standing on your head.

Well damn man... I feel your pain.. GOod luck with that it will totally change your life if it does happen. I don't agree with abortion per say, but you're right it's her choice....

Also, how did you mess it up? did you decide to just cum in her and risk it or did she miss a dose on the pill or what? how did it happen?

Do you remember THE time you got her pregnant? was there lots of love and passion, etc? this can be important.

Sounds like a bad situation, I would say go the abortion route.

But if she decides to keep it and you run off you might be able to get out of child support since she's still married :highfive:
