Not just pain, because sometimes you won't really feel anything strange. Usually, even without pain, there will be swelling because the blood flow out of the leg is backed up. If one leg is noticeably bigger than the other, that is a pretty serious symptom (in the context of a flight or restrained movement). Sometimes there will be no symptoms until the clot gets into your lungs, at which point you may have a minute or two before you are dead.

odds are it won't kill you. But its still dangerous.

Awesome. Pain in legs=death.

I am flying solo in economy, so mucho bordo. But they (Emirates) claims to have some good food. I'm also pretty sure it will be daylight the entire time.

Emirates allows one single carry-on bag the size of a laptop for the poor ass economy fliers. I cannot even fit a book in the bag and they will charge $200 for an extra. WTF is this bullshit on a $1700 flight?!?

I would suggest drugs, or if you don't fly that way, a good novel. Those are the only ways I've ever managed to enjoy flights. I once flew to New Zealand when I was a kid, that was like 19 hours or something like that-- nearly went completely fucking insane. Best of luck to you.
