Homemade filter for oven bag. Suggestions needed.

I'm trying to make my own substrate bags using oven bags and I thought up this idea for filtered air exchange.

Using these materials: polyfill, tyvek, sturdy plastic tubing, and various fasteners
To make this filter:

Basically it is a tube filled with polyfill capped off on each end with tyvek, to be used in the opening of the bag as such:

The finished bag would look like this:

and inoculation would take place by injecting through the bag and taping over the hole.

How well do you think this would work and do you have any suggestions?

I think it might not allow enough air flow. What do you think?

Please suggest ways to make this better.

looks pretty good but allot of trouble doing it that way most just take a wod of polly fill stuff at the top the bag and use zip ties to hold in place

I just thought it would be more secure and since it would be reuseable the work put into it would be a one time investment.

i think you are right plus you will get a better seal around the top of the bag with your plastic pipe keep us informed on how the gas exchange with this is

I have the bag in the incubator right now. It's been there for three days. I'll keep this post updated with it's progress.

i one time cut a wrighting pen tube in 4 pieces and stuffed them places a zip tie and p/c renolds oven bags worked pretty well
