I'm saying there are some inherent differences in the natural biological hormones and such but it's much more about socialization. See my above response. Men are taught to repress their emotions and women are expected to be overemotional.


Of course the male gender is supposed to be less emotional than the female. There's evidence of this in many organisms though there are also a lot of organisms where roles are reversed and the men are the caretakers. My point is that we're conscious beings and the biological differences are not so strong that you can't easily overcome them with a little thought and care on your own part. If you're going to argue that you can't overcome your own predispositions then you know little about human abilities and you're not really analyzing your own life. You can control your own biology, you know. You can choose when to go to the bathroom and you can force yourself to study when you'd rather be off drinking and eating to satisfy your animal instincts. We are conscious and sentient beings, go out and commit a crime and see if you can just get off because men are more aggressive or because your biology dictated that you needed to eat so you just gave into it and stole some food.

You guys always think that actually engaging in discussion means that someone is upset. Maybe I just like to talk about these sorts of issues?

I do feel like he was talking to was being a condescending ass unnecessarily but I get that that's part of his internet persona for whatever reason (it seems like he gets off on thinking he has upset people?) and it's not like I was actually taking it personally.

Social interactions and perceptions interest me greatly and I like getting new perspectives on things like this even if I don't necessarily agree with them. So, thanks for the discussion guys.
