Art deco is 1920's style and really cool. I've got an art deco masonic ring I got on eBay. Coolest ring in my lodge too.

If you ever played Bioshock, everything about the style is basically art deco,
i'd define the building style as clean, angular lines, large detail, and a sense of being palatial without being terribly ornate. In a way, Artdeco is what people in the 20's would imagine what the future woul look like. Also, weirdly enough, King Tut's mask is art deco...which created a hybrid Artdeco style called Egyptian revival. Think bioshock set in egypt, or even some of the spaceship interiors from Stargate.

What the article didn't tell you is how long all the prefab pieces have been under construction. This building started being built when? 2 years ago in the factory?

Sure they can assemble it in 3 months, but they can't build it in 3 months. (Unless they really have 1000 factories all doing only that).

Elevators can go up pretty quickly. You'd be surprised. I suspect there with be at least 50+ elevators in there too, each with a sign telling people which floor itll go up to and which floors it won't stop for. Which will greatly speed things up.

Elevators are not gonna be a problem.

Plus all the space saving and all the same efficiency for 30000 household. Brand new everything, everywhere. Skyscrapers are the logical future.

What I do question is will it make it past the first week without falling down.:shrug:

It does piss me off that its China thats doing this. I'd would rather it be us. But I admire the intelligence behind it.

Back when I was a kid I loved Legos. China just made it real life. Shit, beind real life. I totally believe they can put it up in 3 months. Its fucking lego blocks...

As for what they tell us. People have cameras on their phones and the Internet, we'll know immediately if they lied to us.
