> Four men tracking down the great white sperm whale
Speaking of whales...
Bob Dylan?s 115th Dream You Know Who...
I was riding on the Mayflower When I thought I spied some land I yelled for Captain Arab I have yuh understand Who came running to the deck Said, Boys, forget the whale Look on over yonder Cut the engines Change the sail Haul on the bowline We sang that melody Like all tough sailors do When they are far away at sea
I think I'll call it America I said as we hit land I took a deep breath I fell down, I could not stand Captain Arab he started Writing up some deeds He said, Let's set up a fort And start buying the place with beads Just then this cop comes down the street Crazy as a loon He throw us all in jail For carryin' harpoons
Ah me I busted out Don't even ask me how I went to get some help I walked by a Guernsey cow Who directed me down To the Bowery slums Where people carried signs around Saying, Ban the bums I jumped right into line Sayin', I hope that I'm not late When I realized I hadn't eaten For five days straight
I went into a restaurant Lookin' for the cook I told them I was the editor Of a famous etiquette book The waitress he was handsome He wore a powder blue cape I ordered some suzette, I said Could you please make that crepe Just then the whole kitchen exploded From boilin' fat Food was flying everywhere And I left without my hat
Now, I didn't mean to be nosy But I went into a bank To get some bail for Arab And all the boys back in the tank They asked me for some collateral And I pulled down my pants They threw me in the alley When up comes this girl from France Who invited me to her house I went, but she had a friend Who knocked me out And robbed my boots And I was on the street again
Well, I rapped upon a house With the U.S. flag upon display I said, Could you help me out I got some friends down the way The man says, Get out of here I'll tear you limb from limb I said, You know they refused Jesus, too He said, You're not Him Get out of here before I break your bones I ain't your pop I decided to have him arrested And I went looking for a cop
I ran right outside And I hopped inside a cab I went out the other door This Englishman said, Fab As he saw me leap a hot dog stand And a chariot that stood Parked across from a building Advertising brotherhood I ran right through the front door Like a hobo sailor does But it was just a funeral parlor And the man asked me who I was
I repeated that my friends Were all in jail, with a sigh He gave me his card He said, Call me if they die I shook his hand and said goodbye Ran out to the street When a bowling ball came down the road And knocked me off my feet A pay phone was ringing It just about blew my mind When I picked it up and said hello This foot came through the line
Well, by this time I was fed up At tryin' to make a stab At bringin' back any help For my friends and Captain Arab I decided to flip a coin Like either heads or tails Would let me know if I should go Back to ship or back to jail So I hocked my sailor suit And I got a coin to flip It came up tails It rhymed with sails So I made it back to the ship
Well, I got back and took The parkin' ticket off the mast I was ripping it to shreds When this coastguard boat went past They asked me my name And I said, Captain Kidd They believed me but They wanted to know What exactly that I did I said for the Pope of Eruke I was employed They let me go right away They were very paranoid
Well, the last I heard of Arab He was stuck on a whale That was married to the deputy Sheriff of the jail But the funniest thing was When I was leavin' the bay I saw three ships a-sailin' They were all heading my way I asked the captain what his name was And how come he didn't drive a truck He said his name was Columbus I just said, Good luck.

The Greatest Story Ever Told Written by john barlow performed by the Grateful Dead
Moses came riding up on a guitar His spurs were a-jingling, the door was ajar His buckle was silver, his manner was bold I asked him to come on in out of the cold His brain was boiling, his reason was spent He said if nothing was borrowed then nothing was lent I asked him for mercy, he gave me a gun Said Now n'again these things just got to be done
Abraham and Isaac sitting on a fence You'd get right to work if you had any sense Y'know the one thing we need is a left-hand monkey wrench
Gideon come in with his eyes on the floor Says: Y'ain't got a hinge, you can't close the door Moses stood up a full six foot ten Says: You can't close the door when the wall's caved in I asked him for water, he poured me some wine We finished the bottle then broke into mine You get what you come for, you're ready to go It's one in ten thousand just come for the show
Abraham and Isaac Digging on a well Mama come quick with the water witch spell Cool clear water where you can't never tell
A very unusual sounding song.. check it out sometime if you have not heard

Yes lets not mess with the credits that was a Hunter song.
Cassidy
Words by John Perry Barlow; music by Bob Weir
I have seen where the wolf has slept by the silver stream. I can tell by the mark he left you were in his dream. Ah, child of countless trees. Ah, child of boundless seas. What you are, what you're meant to be Speaks his name, though you were born to me, Born to me, Cassidy...
Lost now on the country miles in his Cadillac. I can tell by the way you smile he's rolling back. Come wash the nighttime clean, Come grow this scorched ground green, Blow the horn, tap the tambourine Close the gap of the dark years in between You and me, Cassidy...
Quick beats in an icy heart. catch-colt draws a coffin cart. There he goes now, here she starts: Hear her cry. Flight of the seabirds, scattered like lost words Wheel to the storm and fly.
Faring thee well now. Let your life proceed by its own design. Nothing to tell now. Let the words be yours, I'm done with mine.

I love Weather Report .........Thanks
What shall we say, shall we call it by a name? Frederick Mathewson Denny, in his article on "Names and naming" in the Encyclopedia of Religion, says "It is common to nearly all religious practices that in order to communicate with a deity one must know its name. Knowledge of a divine name gives the knower both power and an avenue of communication with its source. This intimate relationship between knowing a name and participating in its power has both religious and magical aspects." He then proceeds to examine the tradition of the naming of deities throughout world religious practices. See also the note under "I Am".

Box of Rain
American Beauty
Look out of any window, Any morning, any evening, any day. Maybe the sun is shining, Birds are winging, no rain is fallin' from a heavy sky. What do you want me to do, to do for you to see you through? For this is all a dream we dreamed one afternoon long ago.
Walk out of any doorway, Feel your way, feel your way like the day before. Maybe you'll find direction Around some corner where it's been waitin' to meet you.
What do you want me to do, to watch for you while you're sleepin'? Then please don't be surprised when you find me dreamin' too.
Look into any eyes you find by you, you can see clear to another day. Maybe been seen before, through other eyes on other days while goin' home.
What do you want me to do, to do for you to see you through? It's all a dream we dreamed one afternoon long ago.
Walk into splintered sunlight, Inch your way through dead dreams to another land. Maybe you're tired and broken, Your tongue is twisted with words half spoken and thoughts unclear.
What do you want me to do, to do for you to see you through? A box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you through.
Just a box of rain, wind and water, Believe it if you need it, if you don't just pass it on. Sun and shower, wind and rain, In and out the window like a moth before a flame.
And it's just a box of rain; I don't know who put it there; Believe it if you need it or leave it if you dare.
And it's just a box of rain or a ribbon for your hair; Such a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be there.
This song picks me up when I'm down.

Wharf Rat by Grateful Dead:
Old man down, Way down down, down by the docks of the city. Blind and dirty, Asked me for a dime, a dime for a cup of coffee. I got no dime but I got some time to hear his story.
My name is August West, And I love my Pearly Baker best more than my wine. More than my wine - More than my maker, though he's no friend of mine.
Everyone said, I'd come to no good, I knew I would Pearly, believe them. Half of my life, I spent doin' time for some other fucker's crime, The other half found me stumbling 'round drunk on Burgundy wine
But I'll get back on my feet again someday, The good Lord willin', if He says I may. I know that the life I'm livin's no good, I'll get a new start, live the life I should.
I'll get up and fly away, I'll get up and fly away, fly away.
Pearly's been true, True to me, true to my dyin' day he said, I said to him, I said to him, "I'm sure she's been." I said to him, "I'm sure she's been true to you."
Got up and wandered, Wandered downtown, nowhere to go but just hang around. I've got a girl, Named Bonnie Lee, I know that girl's been true to me. I know she's been, I'm sure she's been true to me.

Black Throated Wind
You're bringing me down, I'm running aground, Blind in the lights of the interstate cars, Passing me by, the busses and the semis, Plugging like stones from a slingshot from mars.
But I'm here on the road, bound to the load, That I picked up in ten thousand cafes and bars. Alone with the rush of the drivers that won't pick me up, The highway, the moon, and clouds and the stars.
Black throated wind, keeps on pourin' in, With it's words of a life where nothing is new, Ah, mother american night, I pass from the light, Ah, I'm drownin' in you.
I left St. Louie, city of blues, In the midst of a storm I'd rather forget. I tried to pretend it came to an end, Cause you weren't the women I once thought I'd met.
But I can't deny, times have gone by, Well I never had doubts or thoughts of regret, And I was a man when all this began, Who wouldn't think twice about being there yet.
Black throated wind, whisper in sin, And speaking on life that passes like dew. It's forced me to see you've done better by me, Better by me that I've done by you.
Now what's to be found by racing around, you carry your pain wherever you go, Full of blues, and tryin' to lose, You ain't gonna learn what you don't wanna know.
So I give you my eyes and all of their lies, Please help them to learn as well as to see. Capture a glance, and make it dance, But looking at you is looking at me.
Black throated wind, keeps on pourin' in, With it's words of a life that could almost be true, Ah, mother American night, here comes a light. I'm turning around, that's what I'm gonna do.
Going back home that's what I'm gonna do. I'm turning around, that's what I'm gonna do. Going back home that's what I'm gonna do. Cause you've done better by me than I've done by you, I'm drowning in you.

Stella Blue
All the years combine, they melt into a dream, A broken angel sings from a guitar. In the end there's just a song comes cryin' up the night Thru all the broken dreams and vanished years. Stella blue. Stella blue.
When all the cards are down, there's nothing left to see, There's just the pavement left and broken dreams.
In the end there's still that song comes cryin' like the wind. Down every lonely street that's ever been Stella blue. Stella blue.
I've stayed in every blue-light cheap hotel, can't win for trying. Dust off those rusty strings just one more time, Gonna make them shine, shine
It all rolls into one and nothing comes for free, There's nothing you can hold, for very long. And when you hear that song come crying like the wind, It seems like all this life was just a dream. Stella blue. Stella blue.

Let my inspiration flow in token lines suggesting rhythm that will not forsake me till my tale is told and done
while the firelights aglow strange shadows in the flames will grow till things weve never seen will seem familiar
shadows of a sailor forming winds both foul and fair both swarm down in carlisle he loved a ladie many years ago
here beside him stands a man a soldier from the looks of him who came through many fights but lost at love
while the storyteller speaks a door within the fire creaks suddenly flies open and a girl is standing there
eyes alight with glowing hair all that fancy paints as fair she takes her fan and throws it in the lions den
which of you to gain me tell will risk uncertain pains of hell i will not forgive you if you will not take the chance
the sailor gave at least a try the soldier being much too wise stradegy was his strength not disaster
the sailor coming out again the lady fairly lept at him thats how it stands today you decide if he was wise
the storyteller makes no choice soon you will not here his voice his job is to shed light and not to master
since the end is never told we pay the teller off in gold in hopes he will come back but he cannot be bought or sold
Inspiration, move me brightly light the song with sense and color hold away dispair
more than this i will not ask faced with mysteries dark and vast statements just seem vain at last some rise, some fall, some climb, to get to terrapin
counting stars by candle light all are dim but one is bright the spiral light of venus rising first and shining best oh from the northwest corner of a brandnew crescent moon crickets and cicayas sing
A RARE AND DIFFERENT TUNE
TERRAPIN STATION
in the shadow of the moon
and i know well be there soon
terrapin i cant figure out if itst the end or begining and the trains put its brakes on and the whistle is screamin
TERRAPIN
while you where gone the spaces filled with
