well, I could be wrong, but I believe it's an old wooden ship, used during the civil war era.

I support that idea X a million. I'm not incredibly knowledgable on the subject. Unfortunately I have had time for much reading lately but when I do get the chance it's my absolute favorite thing to learn about

It seems like a very specific topic to me. I'm very interested in it, but it might fall into one of the other forums. I don't think it would attract enough interest to warrant creating a whole 'nother forum and requiring the mods to moderate it :shrug: Still, I'm all for it if it does get made.

Yea, I really dig on it! :sun: I dont know all the physics and math and such but I love learning about all the new discoveries and theories that are evolving. Heres the kicker, I'm a Christian, but I love trying to reconcile newely discovered scientific discoveries with my faith.. does that make you all hate me now? :confused:

Yea, that's kinda what im thinking too. I just posted a thread about the debate between a multiverse and a universe in the philosophy thread, but it just doesnt seem like it quite fits there.

also if anyone is interested in learning something you can watch this dudes videos on astronomy and cosmology he doesnt go too in depth with math and physics but gives you a good understanding of the topic without going overboard

I love cosmology. Really, considering the early universe is a great place to marry the standard model of physics/quantum theory with gravity/relativity. We yet lack a unified theory but the topic is one of considerable interest.

A serious problem is that even with a workable unified field theory, testing is going to be very difficult as it will require tremendous energies and/or working in very tight at plank limit, where the very act of observation detroys result. In any event, the science forum has some very knowledgeble members and should be the appropriate place for such discussion.
