Why do people say "alcohol poinsong"?

they dont say "heroin poisoning" or "Methamphetamine poisoning" or whatever when you OD on drugs


it seems like another way they try to separate alcohol from other drugs to make it look better or something

Really? "Overdose" sounds like you've accidentally taken too much medicine, "poisoning" sounds like you've ingested poison.

Indeed. Even tho poisoning isnt nessesarily better, still upholds a mental separation from other 'bad' drugs.

Which is true. Heroin and meth are drugs harmful in overdose. Alcohol is harmful in normal dose.

Not so with heroin, you have to overdose it for it to be harmful.


"overdose" implies there is a correct dose and even a too low dose, "poisoning" is solely negative.

"Little Johnny on halloween overdosed on chocolate"
"Little Johnny on halloween got chocolate poisoning"

I take

3gs of ascorbic acid

700mg of combined maiitake, shiitake, reishi mushrooms extract

this multivitamin

500-7500 mg of Garlic (sometimes none though)

and a very good B vitamin that includes enzymes that i cant find a good link to

all daily

also take amny other things in cycles, like 1 week a month, or 1 day a week


i'm not too concerned about cancer, much more concerned about aluminum, murcury, cadmium, fluoride compounds, etc...

But if pure heroin was available it would be physically harmless. It's the impurities and unsanitary ROA that are harmful.

i wish i could get pharms so easily.. there are multiple places i can get heroin in my neighborhood... its fucked up... people smoke crack to :eek: its just we have a lot of dealers... not a horrible neighborhood

You've never heard anyone say alcohol overdose??

I've heard the term because I AOD'd in middle school. Technically when you dose too much on alcohol it poisons you and can be fatal, I guess that's where confusion comes in, but at hospitals they call it an alcohol overdose.

Because you overdose on alcohol and then you get alcohol poisoning.

And I think any unnaturally large amount of any substance in your blood will be considered poison to a doctor.
