Nasal Snuff users - is Snuff "safer" than smoking and chewing tobacco
    #17048806 -

Hey guys, I've recently been turned on to Nasal Snuff. I've never taken up smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco, taking only a hit or two off of a friend's if I'm really drunk or tripping mah ballz off.  I find the buzz gained by Snuff to be far more pleasurable than that of smoking or chewing tobacco.

We all know of the risks associated with taking up a smoking/chewing habit, but I'm curios as to what the true benefits are of choosing snuff over smoking/chewing.

I've done some research, but would like to hear from snuff enthusiasts/daily users.

Thank you in advance for any and all responses

I have no personal experience with any tobacco products.  But I do remember reading that nicotine binds with a receptor on red blood cells, causing the whole cell to stiffen.

The paper claimed that this could tear/clog capillaries.  In theory, this would lead to aging and poor blood perfusion.  (Refer to sickle-cell anemia for an extreme case of the effects of rigid blood cells)

So nicotine is probably not free from danger in any form, but additive-free snuff MUST be healthier than sucking down corporate-smoke on a daily basis.

You gotta snif it, not snort it. I used to use it alot but the joy in it just sortof started to ware away as does the joy in all tobacco products I've dallied with. Also, doin it in public, people think you're snorting drugs. If i do it too much in a day, I get bad headaches. Basically its not that awesome but I'm sure that doing it once in a while is way better than becoming a gnarly cig smoker.
Also, since it's not that awesome, it's less addicting, which is pretty awesome.

I bought a little tin for the novelty.  From what I've read, it's safer than smoking, chewing and other forms.  I think it's on par with snus(norwegian or swiss pouch type thing, I think?) but I haven't read too much about that.

Toque is really popular.  The only kind I've tried is silver dollar apricot.

It burns but supposedly you get used to it.  On a snuff forum, they compared the burning to your first cigarette when you cough up all the jive.

You can search for that forum if you'd like.  I doubt there are too many snuff forums.

and I enjoy sniffing it in public.  You get funny looks and you can do it in front of cops.
