Media? I hope you'll say your an elite member of the ruling class because whatever you read or see on the news could easily be lies to satisfy the ears and eyes of the common man.

What I know is that there is not nor could there be a global cabal of conspirators making every nation prohibit drugs just to make a few bucks for a very small group of people.  KooKoo.

Well, there kind of is, only it isn't for profit- its due to popular support in the United States and other countries, and the will of the US State Department to push oppressive laws around the world via treaty and UN resolutions.

:rofl2:  Yes, you are leaving out the group that benefits the most.  Drug cartels.

There is drug prohibition because the vast majority of the human population wants it.  That is the reality.  Not some global MI cabal.

The US State Department is not that powerful and drug prohibition predates it.

The biggest drug cartels are the USA's own CIA and DEA, followed closely by British and Israeli intelligence services.

Thank you CIA for the Afghani brown H!

Its not the state department's idea- they are just the people that push countries to not legalize, not decriminalize, threaten aide reductions, and all sorts of other bullying tactics to keep failed policies going and open access for expensive US agents to traipse around making the black market more deadly and more profitable.

Prove it.

Lets see if this is the first one of these that has any evidence besides some antecdotal report behind it.

Every country has drug prohibition just like every country has overlords. "They" , like I mentioned must somehow benefit from the war on drugs. It's kind of like how the food chain works, in a sense, just my opinion.

Every country had drug prohibition because America has had 117 country's( I believe that's the accurate number, if not then its more) sign a treaty to keep drugs illegal . And 'They' do benifit from it. People rely on pharmaceutical Company's for cures and treatment to there illnesses.

Sorry John. Not being a CIA officer nor a narcoswine official all I have to rely on are the credible reports of others. If you want first hand accounts they're out there. It's not hard to find good intel on blown CIA narco operations. There's also the evidence of US soldiers right now standing guard to protect the Afghani opium crops. US, British, and Israeli intelligence runs the show now for H. They control most of it for coke and are trying to control the whole market.

Quote:
During the Taliban rule, Afghanistan saw a bumper opium crop of 4,500 metric tons in 1999,.[15] However, in July 2000, Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, collaborating with the United Nations to eradicate heroin production in Afghanistan, declared that growing poppies was un-Islamic, resulting in one of the world's most successful anti-drug campaigns. As a result of this ban, opium poppy cultivation was reduced by 91% from the previous year's estimate of 82,172 hectares. The ban was so effective that Helmand Province, which had accounted for more than half of this area, recorded no poppy cultivation during the 2001 season.[16][17] The Bush administration paid a 43 million dollar 'eradication' reward payment to the Taliban in 2001.

That must be why England and France and Spain and Italy etc etc etc. have drug prohibition.  Yep, that's it right there.

nice straw man

I didn't say prohibition exists because of the US or the state department, I said the US uses the state department to push for furthering prohibition and threatening/rewarding countries that obey and trying to make international treaties that lock in essentially the drugs the US doesn't like to an illegal status.  In the past the US has used this argument to prevent these drugs from being used even legally- they've claimed they can't tolerate it because of the treaty obligations, regardless of US law.  See: the ayhuasca RFRA case

Why is the other one not, because you said so? Where do you come up with this shit? Its just you spitting out your biased nonsense, stop watching all that Fox News. Granted Romney destroyed Obama in the debate tonight, I think it is still a joke that one of these two assholes will be the next president.

I don't watch FoxNews.  I don't watch any news.  Idiots form their opinions based on television.  Idiots.  Obama has been a well documented and well established incompetent steward.  Romney has not.  Ergo one candidate is certain doom and the other is not.

It was a very low bar.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation.
