First, you don't have any evidence to support the notion that my vote for whomever increases the likelihood of any particular president being elected....as a matter of fact, it makes no difference who I vote for as my state is not a swing state.

Of course if you are in a die-hard red state (or die-hard blue state) then you have the luxury of wasting your vote. I used to add the qualifier "if you are in a swing state" to all my posts, but got tired of typing the extra keystrokes, since the point is so self-evident. My bad.

Second, this country's destruction was started long before obama was elected...and will continue long after he is out of office.

Don't be disingenuous. There is an enormous difference between heading straight towards a cliff with your pedal to the metal and veering slightly to one side while lifting your foot from the accelerator and preparing to downshift.

The Obama Pelosi Reid cabal have no intention of veering even slightly because they cannot or will not admit the country is heading towards a cliff. Nor can the regular Joes who vote Democrat, apparently. Just fifteen per cent of surveyed Dems are bright enough to recognize what is staring the rest of the world in the face.

I'm not being disingenuous.  The country will survive Obama...it will survive several presidents after him.  Within a few decades, however, things will unravel.  Obama may or may not do more damage than romney would.  In any case, we have plenty of other presidents after him to fuck it up even more.

Not as America, it won't.

Decades? You should be so lucky.

In my over a decade of reading posts on this forum, this is one of the most ridiculous statements I have come across. As zappaisgod is fond of saying, a severed limb as president would do less damage than Obama. How anyone who has even a passing familiarity with the accomplishments (and conspicuous lack thereof) of the two men could utter such a howler as you just did staggers the imagination.

In 2016, when this is still America, you'll backpedal and say "it's not the same america...pfft..."

I've seen enough elections and generations to know...Every generation seems to think that things used to be better before...and every generation is wrong.

And I was right. Too few here will admit that. A review of my warnings from four years ago will reveal that even I underestimated the colossal scope of the damage this fecklesss jug-eared SCOAMF has inflicted on your poor benighted country. The mind boggles at what another four years will allow him (and the legislators he'll appoint to the bench) to perpetrate.

I totally agree. Alcohol is much more associated with hard drug use than marijuana. Marijuana use is generally accepted by hard drug users. I think that the only reason mj users might do harder drugs is to do something new when they can't get any green. Mj always had a "reverse gateway" effect on me that way.

I'm completely opposed to all drug prohibition. Consenting adults should be able to put whatever they want in their bodies.

I think it's funny how they keep trying to fight the war on drugs. They are NOT going to win, ever. They simply fuel the black market and the violence that comes with it.

I feel like that's what they want, "they" obviously benefit somehow or it wouldn't be happening.

It is a way they can both control American citizens and also dominate central and South American nations. It is to the benefit of the military industrial complex to maintain this status quo.

Maybe "they" are elected by bigoted, prejudiced people who have proven themselves ready throughout time to vote to create illegal subcultures.  I find this conspiracy theorizing absurd when its plain as day the vast majority of people support the prohibition of (some) drugs- there's simply no mystery.  The electorate gets what they want, and the ills cited regarding drug use simply don't factor into it in the most base considerations.  Its no accient that the drugs with a cultural connection to the major ethnic/national groups that make up the US are the legal ones and that prohibitions almost always started with overt bigotry, prejudice, orracist hysteria:  mexicans, blacks, chinese, hippies, et cet for pot, opium, and psychadelics.

That would be interesting except for the fact that every country in the world has drug prohibition.  So I'm gonna call KooKoo on this bit of nonsense.  KooKoo.

Every country has drug prohibition just like every country has overlords. "They" , like I mentioned must somehow benefit from the war on drugs. It's kind of like how the food chain works, in a sense, just my opinion.
