He came walked up to the back door tonight with a baby rabbit in his mouth. We tossed him inside and the baby rabbit just looked around for a few seconds and started hopping off without a scratch.

Twitch and Effy 2 months ago. Twitch likes to fight any animal, used to get bashed by possums http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Possum at our old old house and caught a lil bit of mange from bites. Chases down full grown wild rabbits and eats the stomach out and leaves me the rest on front veranda and is a vocal temperamental SOB but we love him all the same.

5am after getting feed, was raised around 6 other cats/kittens so it scoffed its food down. You had to sit there and rub its stomach to help it dislodge trapped gas/air and indigestion from eating so fast.

Weird, my wife just mentioned my old cat Cali this morning. Not surprising she was a calico cat also.
I don't have any pics of her handy (or at all?) as she lived with my mom. I picked her out in '88 when I was in 7th grade.
She finally past away about 5 years ago. She was getting pretty weak and old, but on her last night she broke out of the house and lived it up outside until she finally laid down next to the neighbors water fountain and went to sleep.

Ours is gettin to be an old lady, her bones are gettin real boney. :tongue:

We got her declawed from an animal shelter, so she's spent most of her life indoors, but for the past few years, we've been letting her out. She loves it, really brings out the wild cat in her. On occasion, she'll hunt bugs and toads and swat at butterflies, which makes me happy. :grin:

The cat up front, Kitty, is still alive. The other one was hit by a car in May.

Kitty's son. We kept him. Born 4/20/12.

Two other kittens from the same 4/20 litter we decided to get rid of. Cute pictures though.

The mother cat and two out of three kittens are in their new home but I kept this crazy little girl.

heres my kitty Osita

My Osita was attacked by a coyote early this morning. I wasnt home. She sustained a lethal neck injury. I got the call around 9 am letting me know what happened; my poor baby stayed alive long enough until I was able to get home to her laying outside of my door.

It was such a terrible thing to experience. I took her to the vet to see what could be done, but she started to give out on the table, so I opted to euthanize her.

Im so fucking tore up over this right now. I cant remember the last time I was this sad. Im happy that I got to be with her for her last few moments. Im so grateful that she was able to stay alive long enough for me to get to her. She meant so much to me.

Oh no, that's awful. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, mick. I know we don't know each other but if you need someone to talk to, don't hesitate. I know it's hard but try to remember the good times and the wonderful life I'm sure you gave her. :heart:

i'm sorry man, damn coyotes. i lost a cat to a bear attack a couple years ago but they made off with him. there was nothing left to retrieve. i saw coyotes during the daytime where i mine this year, so my cats didn't get any outdoor time. you don't have to hear coyotes for them to be around.
