its been around for a while but recently dubstep and other electronic producers have been fuking with it and some of it is fucking NASTY

specially at a show, people go CRAZY for it and when ur with a chick dancing to trap at a show its basically like aving sex its sweet lol

Thanks for the artists/songs, love this type of music while I work but never really knew the name of the genre. I can just picture hearing this in the middle of a crowd and it makes me smile knowing how much people would blow up.

i was at a festival in july and the 2 biggest names that dropped trap were MiMOSA and Dillon Francis

they fucking KILLED it...during those parts of the shows people were getting the fuck down reaaaal low

and it was cool bc most people have never really heard an electronic take on trap so it really surprised a lot of people including me...im real up to date on my EDM and til after that fest ive never heard of it other than in mainstream rap like gucci mane and that bullshit


im seeing dillon francis with clockwork (aka RL Grime) and Baauer in Nov...that show is gonna be wild and its in a tiny little sick venue, gonna get crazy

if that tour goes near you DEF go its gonna be a RAGER

MiMOSA, dillon francis, and Big G all play (3 diff shows) in my town in the same week, with work i can only go to one and even tho i fucking LOVE mimosa and dubstep, i chose dillon francis cuz hes touring with 2 sick trap DJs so ima be there the whole enitre show

plus mimosa plays at the shitty house of blues, fuck that place

well this is what i always thought trap was...basically rap with heavy heavy bass, so technically ur right

but this is more like an electronic take on trap...shud be called like trapstep or sumthing instead lol

Hmmm, yep.  I listened to the first 5 or so.  The production is fucking trash in every single one.  It sounds like some newb wanna be rapper was making beats in fruity loops but then, once finished, decided not to add any lyrics.  It sounds EXACTLY like garbage early 2000s club rap -- e.g. Ying Yang Twins.  I'm sure they would love to hear that their quality music was a progenitor for an entire genre. 

Please don't even put these wannabes in the same category as Mimosa.  Not even in the same universe.

dude mimosa has been playing like half these tracks at all his shows

lol MiMOSA is half the reason Trap is blowing up so fast

hes been dropping trap music all fucking summer, including like 3 of these tracks at just the one hour set i saw him play lol

like it or not MiMOSA is one of the most important people in the trap movement...go to his ext show on his Future trill tour, you will hear a LOT of trap i fucking guarantee it
