Ryche... I have some of your cambodia #7 and #8 and they seem very slow, was this one of your less stable strains?Should I get some of the latest for better results than I am currently having? I also had some #4 and #5 which you recommended against using.

heya nlmr0d: The #8 batch fruited in the jars on me at day 21..very unexpected... try raising the temps up to 85F or so for colonization, they just love heat. These pics above are from the spores of those test batches, and the spores from these are showing the strain to act much more stable.Hippie3: not much to report on the orrisa India strain yet. I've seen pics of it growing on compost producing dinner plate sized caps, they were huge. But on birdseed, they were just average size. thanks mycomountain & xcellx -peace-

Wow, this seems just what I'm looking for - heat loving shrooms. What are they like potency wise? Which would you recommend: Cambodian or A Strain?

Hummmmm, well nice pics as usual but, Ryche, what the hell is up with the deformed stems of some of the shrooms? thoes are the only pics Ive seen come from you with what I would concider deformed shrooms. Dont get me wrong Im not knockin the pics, the strain or even your methods, Im just courious as to why these cams seem to have quite a few deformed stems?Anyhoooo, Im glad your getting things back in order and my cams are doing very well, only lost 3 of my 12 rye jars to contamination......once i have my straw colonized I should be posting some pics of it as well as pics of the fruits....

Heya Ryche...Nice to see ya back on your feet Those pictures look very nice, you always seem to have very constant flushes. Do you mind me asking your little "mound tek"... Looks just like a dirt pile, but how do you do it? And what is the casing? do tell peace camel

Jezza: Definatly the cambodians for potency, the columbian strain seems to do well in heat as well, but I havn't tried them yet. The A produces some larger mushrooms then the cambodians, but I've only eaten them once a long time ago and was not disappointed then, except they tasted really bad, and I usually dont mind the taste of mushrooms.Pan Trop: I'm not sure whats up with the deformed stems on some of them. I've noticed the same thing from all the patches of the cambodians, except the very first patches from the wild print. Everything since then has produced a patch with about 1/3 the stems being lumpy like that. Camel: the little mounds Its on the outdoor teks on my site, but its perlite on the bottom, a light layer of casing soil, either sliced cakes, whole cakes, or substrate compost mix, then anohter layer of casing soil. It looks like mounds, because there not contained in any container. The casing soil is 50/50+ mix. This method has always worked very well for me. Personally I find growing outdoors in a greenhouse much easier and better then growing indoors in terraniums. -peace-

Clean up is actually pretty easy.. a large spatchula, scoop in some gallon ziplock bags, lay down a little new perlite.. and ready for more Also a nice thing about this method is i can keep the patches far enough away from each other that spores from one strain dont get mixed with another. Thanks Schliggity Flank -peace-
