how do I use this Perlite?

I want to keep my humidity at 90% or higher, how do I use this stuff?

Add two inches of perlite and an inch of water

Just around the bottom of the rubbermaid container? how long is the stuff good for? how often does water need to be added?? should water be added first, then poor the perlite in, so you would see where an inch of water would be?

Search for the word Perlite? you get like 4000 responses...it's acouple of simple questions for anyone who's ever used it, and I'm guessing thats alot of people...you already took the effort to open the thread and read it, if you know the answer why not just type it in, or hit the back button...

i think if you take the time to make a reply, you should at least include an asnwer....but yeah, it should work for a while and if the water level does get low, obviously add more water. and give it a healthy 'glug' of peroxide to keep the bacteria count low
