Vegan elitists, lol

I don't see myself as a "Vegan elitist" in slightest bit.  I just decided one day that I wanted to eat healthier to be healthier.  Heart disease runs in my family and my father had problems when he was young.  I want to do whatever I can to take care of myself since no one else in my family really took good care of their health when it came to food and diet.  I want to live a long time to see my son grow up.  I want to be healthy when I am old and able to walk around and enjoy life instead of relying on a walker or wheelchair.

I don't make fun of people that eat burgers and pizza.  I was once there.  Just because I changed to Raw Veganism doesn't mean that I started hating all of the foods that I loved.  I just want to eat and be healthy and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

what's your food consumption on an average day or 2 like? like types of foods and how much, etc? and how long have u been a raw vegan

On an average day, I'll eat something like 4-8 bananas and apples(either as is or in banana chocolate pudding), 1 or 2 large portions of guacamole (about 1.25 - 1.5 cups), some some hummus (either garbanzos or zucchini, but zucchini is my new fave) with a half of large cucumber (about 4" portion of 8"), couple handfuls of nuts, and some other whole fruits like watermelon, mango, kiwi, and other berries.

I also eat dried fruits that were dehydrated at 118F degrees or less.  I consume anywhere from 1800-3000 calories a day depending on my level of activity.

If I am juicing, I will go through about 8-12 pounds of produce in about 2-3 days.  I only purchase what I can carry home with me on my bike.

I have been raw vegan for nearly 3 months.

cool. is it really expensive to afford lots of produce for juicing? does it depend on where you live? and of course i would think it would depend on whether you buy it at farmers markets or not

i love you ♥

I go where ever I can find it the cheapest.  I shop around.  I always keep track of how much certain items cost (like avocados, apples, carrots, and tomatoes) I can buy an entire week's worth of produce for about $40-$60 on average depending where I go and what I buy.  Within a reasonable distance from me are several grocery stores, a few produce stores, and a produce wholesaler that sells to the public.

I actually save a considerable amount of money now that I no longer buy processed foods or animal products.

Veggie burgers are awesome. but only if they are fucking done to get maximum flavor. as in it's definite that it won't be raw.

but yeah, thanks though.

I don't eat meat, but I'm not vegan.
In fact vegans tend to piss me off because most I have met do it for fashion (not to say all do... don't get offended)

I've just never seen the point of completely depriving yourself of healthy foods and spending massive amounts of money to replace them.

If you're doing it to be cruelty free, just by free range organic.

well, it is true, that many facts and believes and mixed-up and misconstrued when it comes to "health" and "food" and the combination of the two...

and it's easy to be confused or mistaken about plenty of things in that area.

well, i find that i feel rather bone dry if eat just raw vegetables, which i do, all the time... (i mostly eat my salads without dressing too) i need meat, in order to have energy. i like a heavy a healthy metabolism too, with eating some fruit and drinking some H20 in the a little after i wake up, then eat some whole wheat cereal or maybe if lacking energy (i eat pretty light usually, in the morning) some bacon, eggs and potatoes. (this is when i really need an extra boost) (sometimes coffee will do, as well) then for lunch either a simply snack like a oatmeal bar, or some un-salted chips (i like them better) or maybe a sandwich but i sometimes stave off lunch and just stick to some fruit throughout the day until supper...

then i just eat whatever the fuck i want afterwards...

fully stocked.

dude you are just another case of weak adrenals and therefore low neurotransmitter production. this is a widespread condition across the human species. give it one or two more generations and everybody will have to agree with me that humans are neurologically screwed.

let me enlighten you: the energy you get from meat is called stimulation due to the neurotransmitters we share with animals like adrenaline. factory animals are loaded with adrenaline there's absolutely no special vitamins in dead animals. you'd get the same benefit from taking epinephrine pills. you are essentially supplementing with stimulation. hence the meat and caffeine. stimulating glands is what actually weakens them in the first place. see the problem?

your "high metabolism" is likely malabsorbtion. you eat way too many grains. the glue in grains literally destroys the bowels!  grains are irritating to cells and cause excessive mucous production. when the bowel walls and villi get get coated in glue and mucous, nutrition absorption is hindered.

it's obvious i'm just going to make some solid threads in the well-being forum and link people the them. i just can't keep up with all the heath mis-info people have bought into.

until i get some thread up in well-being forum i'm going to just leave you guys with a couple books to check into.

Left In The Dark by Tony Wright. the forward of this book was written by Dennis McKenna, who is on board with the science presented in this book which is basically our evilutionary relationship with fruits and the devlopment of our complex neurological systems. this is not a diet book. it's based on science and the conclusions are absolutely stunning! read more about it here: http://www.realitysandwich.com/tony_wright_interview

The Detox Miracle Sourcebook by Robert Morse ND. i consider this man to be the greatest healer currently on the planet. he cure's everything through true detoxification via fresh fruit, fasting and whole herbs.

The Mucusless Diet Healing System by Arnold Ehret. this one is a blast from the past. written over a hundred years ago. it's better than any heath book written in recent years. since then greed and corruption tainted the pool of mass information explotiong the sheepish nature of humans and destroying their health for mass profit by industry giants.

enjoy!

no! this is however just one extremely great example of popular mis-info people have bought right into. i bet the billion dollar dead animal industry is very pleased with our gullible nature. plus people like meat so much they probably want this to be true.

the fact is that b-12 is actually produced by the adrenal glands. people are really lacking it though, but that's because the adrenals are weak as shit! as i keep saying over and over. please read the second book i listed! do not wait for health tips from popular media outlets. that's how all the this popular mis-info is started. then people read it and regurgitate it ad nauseam. there is a conspiracy against the heath of humans. even the FDA is tied right in with the bullshit and buddied right up with the grain, dairy and meat giants. ever seen that food guide pyramid?

go ask a vegan buffalo where he gets his b-12 from. then you might as well ask him how he got so big without protein. some of the coolest animals in nature are vegans. fast as hell, they grow cool ass horns and shit.

Why is that everywhere I go on this website people start talking about anti-health conspiracies whether its big pharma or the multi billion dead animal industry (lol) :wtfsonic:

I suggest you lay off the drugs and read some proper biochemistry cause I can use the same arguments against you.

Fucking delusional paranoia

Neither animals nor plants have the capacity to synthesise B12. You asked what vitamins are found in dead animals. Vitamin B12 is found in dead animals.
