RH in straw/manure bulk terreriums.. (is this overkill?.)

Ok afoaf plans to go bulk this week, he plans to pasturize straw/manure, mix in some innoculated rye grain in a big styrofoam box he obtained from work.... his question...

please look at this pic, not sure where or when it was obtained, thought maybe from a Salvia growing site, but maybe not... (more likely from here)

punching a little hole outside a terrarium, sticking the airtubbing in, would this work for just raising RH%? its sort of a outside bubbler.

i'll assume a terrarium just used for cakes would be the ideal for this, but.. like a bulk box of cased straw/manure... would this do more damage than good? or any other opinions? thanks!

Bulk teks are like huge casings. I have never had a problem with just misting. If you get too much RH you are setting yourself up for cobweb, if you do not fan properly. My dawg does a bulk, then places it on top of another container filled w/perlite. The outer container has a fold "s" type lid, and the bulk lid is left off. You may pull both flaps of the box up to fan in seconds. Great results, better than an ultrasonic for dawg. If it does tend to dry you can always mist.
