The right side of my chest/back is hurting so much
    #16513272 -

and I don't know what caused it. It all started while I was at work yesterday and the intense pain came very unexpected. So fucking intense that I was literally hunching my back at times. Even now, I thought it would be gone with a good night's sleep, but my chest/back (I don't know exactly where it's hurting because it's almost the entire right upper part of my body) is still hurting

I just want to know what this is and what I did to cause it. When I walk up/down the stairs, I can feel the pain twice as much. When I try to take a deep breath, I only irritate it and make it worse. It hurts whenever I do anything, even resting. Fuck.

Sounds like it could be muscle tension. All your muscles are connected from the top of your head to your feet. Try some light stretching, but go to a clinic if you can't manage that due to pain.
Sleeping may rejuvenate you, but if you fall asleep in the wrong position or if your sleeping area is less than ideal (a mattress partially flattened from humping, for example) then you'll wake up with pinched nerves and sore muscles.
Avoid painkillers if you can as they can make these types of injuries worse.

Idk because it actually got worse now and I run out of breath after like walking a block or two. I think I have asthma

I just fixed  mine last night.

Google 'levator scapula' and find your own. Find where the (yes really do this, I'm a nationally certified massage therapist) muscle inserts on the wing of your scapula, and dig into it with somehng, like a rubber ball or something. Put it on the floor, and lay into it.

If you feel some pain in the back of your neck, and the big muscle in the front, that's good. There's wher eI felt pain referrals, and then whe I release the muscle, my chest and back didnt hurt anymore. Do this on both side, and treat the rhomboids as well.

Damn I'm not feeling any pain in the back of my neck. In fact, when I try to push down all the way from my neck to spine, I don't feel the pain there. It's internal, right near the chest/diaphragm area. I can't go to the doctor either because I have no money/time

Do you have any symptoms? Nausea?

Are you allergic to anything?

Are you on medication?

Do you have a past history of respiratory issues?

Do you have trouble breathing? Do you hear any sounds when you breathe in or out?

That is not good at all.

It sounds like you are having simple respiratory distress. The question is why?

What were you doing around the time it started?

When you breath do you feel like you have to sit any certain way to catch a breath? Are you breathing more with your chest or diaphragm? Do you feel like you have to puff out your chest to breath?

If you are having trouble breathing you may be at risk for Hypoxia, which is the lack of oxygen needed to properly supply your body. Hypoxia is caused by respiratory issues and is a very serious condition. If your specific condition got worse your body would compensate for lack of oxygen by constricting the arteries in your extremities (limbs) thereby limiting the blood flow to your extremities and providing your core with what little oxygen you are able to breath in.

As an EMT I would administer oxygen to you through a mask, possibly give you artificial ventilations, and take you to the hospital. Typically you should not try to wait out respiratory issues because you could end up hypoxic, which may lead to a mental depression leaving you helpless and alone with respiratory failure and eventually respiratory arrest (not breathing at all).

I dont mean to scare you but really I suggest you go to the hospital. Maybe its nothing or maybe its something serious. Only a doctor can tell you really. Respiratory issues are not to be taken lightly.

Just today, everything got better, except now I'm feeling pain near my upper right back. I definitely had chest congestion the past few days, but I was experiencing some pains near my lower waist, stomach, spine, and the back area. But now, the pain is all on my right back, near the shoulder area. I don't get why this is happening though.

It all started when I was delivering food to a customer, and then my right shoulder started having so much tension. It just came so suddenly :frown:

Is there a chance you could have coughed hard enough to break a rib?

This happened to me during a bout of terrible pneumonia as a teenager.

Mr. Floaty still causes me pain once in awhile and it radiates to certain areas.

Oh shit. Come to think of it, I did cough hard many times after smoking out of a bong and I felt something but just ignored it. I really hope I didn't break one of my ribs :frown:
