I knew someone that threw a kegger, only a few people showed up, he drank
what he could for a few days and got tired of it so he took it back with
about half of it left

Lol I wouldn't drink a keg that's older than 2 days old, unless it was a kegerator. Get the half, invite the heavy drinkers over earlier than everyone else, say an hour or so, then have the bbq. Bad thing is that food and beer don't mix, as in, beer fills you up as does food.

Or get 2 kegs and open the party up a bit. At college, we'd go to a 2 kegger as a last resort, big parties have 5-10.

10 kegs?  Jesus american schools are fucking huge.  A pretty big kegger at my school is 4 kegs.  I've been to an 8 keg kegger once, but that is pretty much unheard of.

Well it leans more towards the 5-6 with the 8-10 being halloween parties, 420, st. patties day, and some greek events.
