how many 12 ounce cups could you fill with a keg? i know i could just google it but that would mean i would have to close out of the shroomery, open up a new window, type google, then type how many ounces in a keg, then take that number and divide it by 12, then take that answer and come back onto the shroomery, start a whole new post just to say that you can fill 165 12 ounce cups. i really don't feel like going through all that due to my mild hang over so....

I don't know where the fuck you go to drink kegs, but a pony keg sure as fuck isn't 165 12oz servings.

A regular sized fucking keg is 165 12 oz servings, no matter how many different size kegs you can buy.

In New York you can only get half kegs, thats what I have grown up to as to what a keg is. I have never seen a full keg?

I'm pretty sure that's not true. A full keg is half a barrel. 165 12 oz servings. A pony keg is a quarter barrel. You can definitely get a full keg in New York.

I just now learned that the proverbial 'half keg' is indeed the standard issued size...and that the 30 gal variety is, in fact, something you have to special order

in new hampshire full barel kegs are outlawed for what reason I have no clue so in NH a full keg is considered a half barrel

Quote:
A full keg is a 15.5 U.S. gallon barrel, routinely called a half-barrel. A half keg or pony keg is therefore called a quarter-barrel and has a volume of 7.75 U.S. gallons. Generally a keg is a vessel smaller than a barrel, thus it is 30 gallons or smaller.[2]
In the U.S. the terms half-barrel and quarter-barrel are derived from the fact that a U.S. beer barrel is legally defined as being equal to 31 U.S. gallons (note that this is not the same volume as some other units commonly known as barrels.
