will this work?

i was doing some reading and i saw a soil that contained 50% coconut husks, and 50% pumice. now would 50% bed a beast (i think thats coconut husks) and 50% sifted perlite work? i did mix some sand in there also. please let me know, i want to get some seeds started:)

Never heard of that mix before......I dont see why it wouldnt work...

I use a course sand and peat mix...seems to do pretty well.....

Mix: 2/3 Course Sharp Sand
1/3 Fine Peat(put through a screen)
