First Rap Song I've Ever Liked
    #16453594 -

Just sharing.

Watcha think?

Idunno I'm normally an industrial sort but for some reason I'm diggin this like way too much.

Maybe cuz it has a political undertone to boot. Well if you know about the whole skull and crossbones thing maybe.

Anyway.

yeah DJ muggs is pretty sick. it's kind of odd that you got into sick jacken as one of your first hip hop artists, he's more of an underground artist and a bit of an acquired taste. usually hip hop heads only like that type of stuff.

this is the song that got me into hip hop

the first verse is insane, i'd never heard lyrics and just limitless shit like this before :mindexpanding:

Jedi Mind Tricks - Retaliation

Not bad, not bad, thanks!

Yeah a coworker and I traded mixed CDs just for shits and giggles.

They hated my shit LOL but I actually liked a lot of theirs. It was just nice to drive to. Windows down, warm air, cig. It just fit. I'm diggin it. Wasn't expecting to but I am.

theres alot of goodshit out there, theres also alot of crap too. but in any genre, all you have to do is wade your way through the shit to find the hidden gold. every genre of music there is has amazing artists and music you will enjoy, finding it is the difficult part

heres another good hip hop tune

I like that one, too lol. Shoot I think I just found some new music for a little while.

Makes me wanna smoke weed again and go driving around at night just to drive hehe.

Would you say this one is a crap one? The lyrics aren't too deep or anything, but I like the music. It was another one on their CD. Idunno if I'm gonna give it back. >.>

Akrobatik - The Flow (could probably just say the whole EP. Might be the most important factor in me liking hip-hop really).

Jedi Mind Tricks ft. Killa Sha (whoever the fuck that is) - Contra

Jedi Mind Tricks ft. Planetary - I Against I

Yeah, Violent by Design, Psycho-Social, and The EP are probably the two most influential albums for me, and I don't particularly care for JMT at all anymore (besides Psycho-Social and VBD).

I don't know what you mean by banger type tracks lol. But I like the ones that got like a little somethin in them. Yeah that's not descriptive at all. Oh well hehe.

I REALLY like this one. Took me a couple tries to figure out enough lyrics to look it up lol.

I am so tripping to that if I ever get to trip again.

I'm not going to post videos because I'm lazy but here are some of the hip hop artists I dig:

9th wonder, j dilla, basically everyone signed to stones throw records - just check out the youtube profile, murs, oddisee, cunninlynguists, people under the stairs, a tribe called quest, erykah badu - although she's kinda r&bish but still amazing, the roots, mos def, common

and last but not (or maybe?) least, this guy I know of is a character and makes weird hip hop music.  so check that out.  His name is alex totally and I shall post a video of that. It's definitely catchy and I know other folks would enjoy it regardless.

"I have no way of knowing whether you, who eventually will read this record, like stories or not. If you do not, no doubt you have turned these pages without attention. I confess that I love them. Indeed, it often seems to me that of all the good things in the world, the only ones humanity can claim for itself are stories and music; the rest, mercy, beauty, sleep, clean water and hot food (as the Ascian would have said) are all the work of the Increate. Thus, stories are small things indeed in the scheme of the universe, but it is hard not to love best what is our own—hard for me, at least."

I do like this black ships thing, this is something I could bounce along to. Immortal technique is good (my friend was listening to "bush blew up the projects" whilst he got pulled over by the cops)

I want to slip one in.

Canibus - Speaker Creatures. (Long intro)
