Whoa... I hope that people didn't mis-interpret what I meant to be some hidden racist comment. I meant it in the general pop-culture sense - as an example, take that Eminem song from a while back "i never meant to give you mushrooms girl... blaah blah blah". When (typically) teenage kids hear this, when they see these artists who they look up to talking about mushrooms as a "party" drug, as a fun way to get fucked up, it can only cause trouble (in my opinion). As someone who openly advocates for the legalization of mushrooms based upon their potential both in spiritual exercise and in psychology, I would see this kind of mushroom use as detrimental to the cause. I certainly don't want to read stories in the news about "17 year old boy flips out and stabs mother after taking mushrooms... says he heard about them from Xzibit" Hopefully you see what I meant...

Yeah, eminem also has a tattoo of a big huge mushroom on his shoulder, so I imagine he likes them quite a bit.

I like listening to Swollen Members, a canadian Hip-Hop group, you can tell they're 'experienced'

Ooooo... Swollen Members, I swear I got the chills when I read that, thats the group, I fucking forgot their name, but damn their good! Crazy talent there. Underground hip hop really reveals poetical talent in so many ways.

Anyways, krishna, I couldnt agree with you more. Weed being ccommercialized in some way or another is fine enough, but if people are going to go for shrooms like some ordinary party drug because they hear people singing about it things can get pretty ugly! Eminem sings about it ugly though, I just heard this (new?) song of his called Desperados where he's saying that he ate mushrooms and had visions of dead woman stabbing their wombs with brooms!!! Crazy! He also he says he's SORRY for giving mushrooms, he's sorry for bringing her to his world... like its bad. And what about, "I've been to mushroom mountains, once or two times who's countin... but nothing compares to these blue and yellow purple pills.
So from him shrooms could sound, well, not so good.

Eyedea mentions psychadelics, check out "the Dive", It's basically his story of going insane in second-person view, so he's saying

Also I remembered Aesop Rock did a whole lot of LSD, I think. He repeatedly refers to Lucy, and he's clearly nuts. Listen to anything off his album Float. I'm not feeling his new album s'much for some reason.

If you can find a group called Mel Gibson & The Pants, seriously check them out. Not as goofy as their name sounds, a live band with a hip-hop vocalist.  Real mash-up of styles that flows elegantly.

Whoa, I have never known anyone else that listens to heiroglyphics.
I always liked A+ because it always irritated friends I had who listened to rap... Not a huge fan of hip-hop, but I love any music from Necro, but it would not be a good idea to listen to it while your tripping. It's so evil it begs me to listen to it.
