Dude, tang and OJ and vitamin C chewables are really a shitty way to get vitamin C. Eat leafy, green vegetables. Peppers, bell peppers, kale, brocolli, any dark, leafy greens are much higher in C than oranges and they have other benefits too, more so than citrus fruit. Orange Juice is not really that high in C and is not the health food it's been made out to be by the OJ lobby. It's junk food.

Get yourself a buffered C supplement like Ester-C because all those highly acidic forms of C you're taking are going to lower the pH in your mouth and systemically and make it harder for your body to fight off those sores and infections.

lol, Dentists don't know shit. It's the ecology of bacteria in your mouth and body overall that cause shit breath. Not a couple tiny pieces of food stuck between your teeth. Fuckin' dentists, I swear. Most doctors too. Modern medicine is a state state of affairs.

i eat plenty of leafy greens and peppers but still dont seem to get enough, hence why ive added the other things.

and I also have ester-c.

Might wanna get a second opinion on the "scurvy" then. I wouldn't give too much weight to a dentist's medical opinion, especially if they've told me I'm suffering a condition that's been all but eliminated in the modern world.

But, as I said, around the time the scurvy started things were very hectic, I was missing meals and not getting all the food groups in one day.

Some days I would eat leafy greens or citrus fruit, other days I wouldnt...sometimes I wouldnt eat for a couple days.

Things should get better once my diet returns to normal though.

MisterMuscaria, do yourself a big favor anjd get on a multivitamin/mineral supplement.  If you have scurvy thats likely a sign you have several vitamin & mineral deficiencies, a multi catches them all.

People should strive to eat at least half a pound of veggies and 2 pieces of fruit each day.
